Check out coffee and and pasta prices just for fun.

Thanks, Orangeman.

Eggs and milk are way down since Biden. Chicken is slightly down. Many vegetables and fruits are down. It's not all bad.

That's why I buy whole slabs of beef and break it down myself. I got a whole boneless Prime N.Y. Strip for $11.99 a lb., trimmed off about 2 lbs. of fat to render down to make tallow and cut up the meat into 1 1/2 in. thick steaks and got 14 out of the slab. I kept 2 out to grill that day and vacuum sealed the rest 2 to a pack for later use. Grill them to no more than medium rare, have a loaded baked potato and some sauteed mushrooms as a side and it's like heaven.

The angus cuts are ok. Winn Dixie’s rancher steaks aren’t any better than Walmarts regular ribeyes

Yep, way cheaper to buy and cut your own.

Good thing I’ve already got my family started on bugs. They are plentiful, cheap, and easy to harvest because they’re so dumb. Besides you haven’t lived until you’ve grilled up a nice juicy cricket leg. Mmmmmm

We were told the last few years of inflation wasn’t that bad, lol.

Costco was usually between 14-17/lb for prime ribeyes

They are now between 26-28/lb, massive increase in the last few months

Was just in Las Vegas yesterday for a doctor appt and stopped by Costco's on the way out. Bought a pack of 8 rib eyes, thin cut for $90. For the wife and I that gives us 4 meals. Just have to make sure I don't over cook them.

I always check the 1/2 off bin- they frequently have flank steak and tri-tips, which is mostly what I eat. I do love a ribeye, but I don’t get them very often because they are more expensive.

Brookshires had sirloins for $5.99 lb a few weeks back and I loaded my freezer down. Not my preferred cut for steaks but I’ll take what I can get.

I have converted from ribeyes to Picanha at Costco. Picanha has gone up, but still much cheaper than ribeyes.

Got some flat iron steaks there two weeks ago and they were great. And cheaper than ribeyes. But I don’t remember seeing them previously. Will buy again if I do. The two flat irons fed 4 people two meals. I think it was $36.

Chuck round for a crock pot. Paid 32 for 2.5lbs. blew me away when I saw it.

It was fantastic and I got 3 meals out of it

Still. Ridiculous for that cut.

The way the government calculates inflation is crazy.

They change the metric all the time to spin a media narrative to report good news for the ones in power.

No imports of Mexican cattle for US feedlots due a disease in their herds. That's 500,000 head of cattle not being slaughtered here

H-E-B had that this past weekend. I scooped up 3 for $24. Not a bad deal.
