In the market. Lots of positive feedback I’m getting on the Recteq pellet grills. Never had a pellet grill but open to other options.
There is a Backyard model that looks solid but $1200 is a lot to drop on grill, but I’m also not a professional and this is supposed to make maintaining heat balance. The smaller models run about $800 but it seems you get more for your buck in this price range.
Just looking to step up from the old black top Weber.

Come on man, just get on youtube and do your research. The Recteq is an amazing grill. Whatever Ace Hardware sells, know that it is top of the line grill (which they are a Recteq dealer).

I’ve had just about every type grill you can imagine and now I find myself cooking 9/10 on my Webber charcoal grill.

Smoker or grill?
If smoker, recteq is solid
If grill, weber is king

This place loves Recteq. I bought a Weber Searwood a few weeks ago, it's been great so far. Holds a steady temp and pumps out smoke for a pellet grill. YouTube is your friend!

This
I have a Camp Chef Pellet and I enjoy my cooks...I also enjoy my Kamado Joe Classic and Kamado Joe Jr...If I want a quick cook, I just use my Weber Gas Grill.
But the OP needs to get on YouTube and learn the bells and whistles of each grill and find what best would work from him.

I have this one and it’s perfect for recreational use.
Offset smoker, charcoal, propane pit and a propane burner. All you need for backyard stuff

I went to the store and saw a cheap two burner grill for $60. I bought it.
The end.

There are many good ones out there. I struggled for a year trying to pick which one. I was trying to pick a pellet grill but at the end of the year I could not do it and landed on the Weber Kamado. I absolutely love it. Super easy to cook anything any way. High heat and fast or low and slow. Holds temp amazingly well. Could not be happier! Best cooks-Dino ribs and briskets.

Can’t speak to rectec but I’ve had a Green Mountain Grill (also a pellet smoker), for 7 years now and it does the trick for long cooks.
I also have a BGE for direct heat cooks.

I once had a charcoal grill I bought at Walmart for I think $19.99. Rode that dude for seven years. Charcoal and smoke chips.
