I have the two burner knob model Genesis. Really preferred my 2 burner Charbroil Infrared, as it didn’t flame up as much, but the Genesis was free.

quote:Weber is hard to beat. In our previous place I had a Weber Genesis SS. Solid. Reliable. Even heat. Held up nicely in the salt air. Very good bang-for-the-buck IMO. Now I cook on a Lynx and a BGE that came w/ the house. They're great obviously. But price point is different.
Just looking to step up from the old black top Weber.

Ive been thru about every grill permutation existant. There is no step up from a basic Hibachi unless you're cooking for a crew. Then it's several hibachis. Low charcoal usage means the great charcoal is affordable. Wicked searing, and adjustable height for slower cooking.

For most people who have to ask: get a Weber gas grill and then buy the griddle insert, if needed, or Weber charcoal…or both.
If you want to smoke…well…get a basic electric master craft
More advanced: you should already know.

There is no such thing. Learn how to control your heat, and it will be the best grill you've ever had. For a fraction of the price of the other grills you have mentioned

If you combine a Recteq, a Weber, and a Big Green Egg you get a Spider Grills Huntsman

I recently bought one to put in the back of my Chevy Silverado. Unfortunately it did NOT go as planned. I do not recommend.

Same! Luckily I was able to put it out with a little water at the boat ramp.
