Colorado Springs was fun but I grew tired of the snow. You really don't realize how much you miss Sourhern Culture until you are away from it.
This was absolutely true for me when I twice lived outside of the South.

I moved from Dallas/Plano/Frisco to BR a little over 10 years ago. No regrets.

I occasionally will miss southern culture but it's pretty rare. Only time I truly miss home is on LSU home game days.

Not for me brother. Texas and Tennessee/North Carolina are pretty much my western and northern limits. I guess to each their own.

No doubt my man.
As my dad says, that's why Baskin Robbins has 31 flavors.

Spartanburg > Greenville from what I hear, but I would like to check out both

The cities I didn't list that you listed are good choices too.
And I agree, can't live outside of the South.

You said you're in banking, correct? Then Charlotte is your destination city...nothing but banks here (BofA headquarters, WF, etc.). If you live in the right section (Ballantyne area) the schools are great. Lots to do...football, basketball, minor league baseball. Breweries popping up all over.

Did you try Fort Worth? Much better than Dallas
Dumbest post of 2017 winner and it's only June.

Charlotte is a good spot. Along these lines, Richmond. Smaller than Charlotte, but a lot of banking opportunities in a generally nice place.

Charlotte is the right answer.

HP, UP, Preston Hollow > Fort Worth > anywhere else around Dallas

Kansas City area is a great place to live, work and raise a family.

Hendersonville or Franklin, Tennessee. Both just outside of Nashville. Great school districts. Close to lakes and mountains. Downtown is actually safe to walk around at night. Got some pro sports teams. You can watch SEC teams play at Vandy for cheap.
I wouldn't trade the 37069 for any other area code in the country.

Particularly raise a family. Some areas around Kansas City have great schools. I grew up in the area and both of my brothers raised their families in Overland Park. The people there are really nice. It's too boring for my taste, but if raising a family is your top priority then it's a really good place for that.
