I've never regretted my move to Springfield Missouri. Regional hub for medicine and education. All the good things about a city without all the bad things. Great outdoor recreation. Good people. Food options, entertainment, schools, easy traffic, great golf and fishing.

I moved to Greenville, SC from Huntsville and I'll never live anywhere else. Great economy, great food, things to do, safe. It is much better than Spartanburg as I saw that was questioned elsewhere, but the two cities are really close so you could live in between.
If on banking, Charlotte is a great place too.
