Good idea but they don’t seem to need it. If you go look at the google reviews they have 5 stars and many of the reviewers if not all of them are the same color as Gravy.

It's absolutely insane that a large segment of society care about "muh respect" from complete strangers. I really don't give a damn if a random stranger "disrespects" me as long as nothing physical or physically threatening is happening.
You could either not give a damn and leave the convenience store and get on with your day or wait 20 minutes to argue with the owner. If you choose the latter you need to find some hobbies or learn something new
What's ironic is the most disrespectful pieces of shite DEMAND respect...2 way street here you trashy fricks

That dumbass diatribe OP posted by whoever that guy is (I'm an outsider obvious) is a word for word checklist of damn near everything that is wrong with the black community and why they will never get their shite together. It's the same with them everywhere. We've all had enough of their bullshite.

Believe it or not the altercation started because the cashier disrespected a black man by putting his change on the counter rather than putting the change in the customer’s hand.
A certain demographic takes serious offense to this. I don't know why, but I've seen it before and it's definitely a thing.

Allowing a younger cashier to disrespect a young black man in this neighborhood can escalate in dangerous ways, and I wasn’t going to ignore it.
This sounds like a threat, or maybe he unconsciously slipped out some truth about the violent trash he lives around.

I would gladly trade some of our legal citizens for illegals. A sort of citizenship swap.

The whole reason it's called a COUNTER is it's where you COUNT out the money, in full view of both parties. It's to ensure everything is on the up and up.

I totally knew that and didn’t just realize I was ignorant of how that word originated.

I thought this was the anniversary of that other malignant narcissist going hands on with Gravy

Completely irrelevant and unrelated.

I address issues head-on. Allowing a younger cashier to disrespect a young Black man in this neighborhood can escalate in dangerous ways, and I wasn’t going to ignore it. Once the back-and-forth went too far, I asked them to call the owner. I stepped outside to my truck.
Wait, he got into an argument with a cashier and is saying that this type of disrespect of black men leads to dangerous consequences?
I just read the rest of his statement, what the hell were they arguing over?

He deserves ZERO respect. What a race baiter.

We were checking out at a Nordstrom in Chicago over the summer when my wife and I were having a jovial conversation with the black clerk. My wife pulled out a $100 bill to pay for her merchandise and set it on the counter. The black clerk suddenly wasn't smiling and said "Miss, please pick up that bill and place it in my hand". We looked at each other completely confused. My wife asked if that was a security measure or something, the clerk responded "no, it's just a respect thing".

You must have to really look hard to find "disrespect " at every. single. casual. insignificant. thing.

It's an idiot thing.
You place the money on the COUNTER, counting it out, so the clerk can pick it up, counting it again.
This ensures the amount is correct and the currency can be inspected in full view of all.
The change should be counted back out on the COUNTER and then the client can pick it back up, counting it again.
Thrusting a wad of bills in a clerk's hand is incredibly disrespectful and shady
