For sure, and likely an idiot.

But on this topic, he seems to be our idiot

Yeah, I'm no fan of Landry at all and he's proven his No. 1 priority is Jeff Landry - but in this case that might be useful.

He's gor a long way to go before he tops Bobby Jindal.

In his second term, his face should've been on a milk carton.

And if ever see him in-person again, I will absolutely tell him that.

I don’t care what he says. Too little, too late. He’s more concerned with meta centers and carbon capture, and ruining our state. Bye, Landry.

One topic or subject should not and will not sway my vote in one direction. We need proactive and not reactive. We also need a leader that doesn’t support our elected officials signing NDAs with private companies instead of representing their constituents. He like most of our other politicians will protect the good ole boys and make sure they get paid before we are represented. Just one mans opinion of our governor.

Landry is far from perfect and I have not loved his performance either. But hard on crime is such a big problem in America these days that that single issue if tackled head on is big enough to be worth the vote.

Make LA safe businesses come back, and kids stay home after college, the economy can grow, etc.

This one issue if solved could have large positive ripple effects.

Now he just said a lot… he needs to do it. If nothing comes of this, then he should be heavily criticized.

Which judge? No state judges are appointed as far as I’m aware.

It was a commissioner who made the bond decision. Commissioners are appointed.

Got it. Bonds are set by judges where I live hence my confusion.

But that Commissioner was appointed by the fools in the 19th, half of whom are related.

Ironic that you say this...

Let's just say that it is extremely easy for out-of-state companies to flourish with our State, while other states are very parochial in their purchasing of in-state services.

It's almost as if you are a in-state Louisiana company, it is assumed you are not as good as the out-of-town "experts".

Was that a press conference about a tragic murder, or a meeting of the Mutual Administration Society?

95 percent of the time was spent praising police and 5 percent discussing the case and plans to prevent future crimes.

To be clear, police and first responders are paid, correct? This is, in fact, their jobs, right?

Why do politicians feel the need to lavish unwarranted praise on them? That was wholly inappropriate and unnecessary.

And I almost punched my car stereo after the “don’t stereotype” comment by Sid Edwards. frick that guy.

He was the state Attorney General, which is the Head law-enforcement officer for the entire state for 4yrs.

Now he digs his head outta his arse?

He did sound passionate about it. I hope he goes hard in the paint on crime. Like stop and frisk hard. These fricking DAs and judges need to be held accountable some how.

Was elected without ever having tried a case, not sure that he had even practiced law.

Landry gets a lot of shite here but sending the state police to New Orleans has made a huge difference in our crime here.

Hope he and BR leaders can get that area cleaned up. Would be great for the entire state.

I am tired of hearing the bureaucrats pat themselves on the back about how great the “partner agencies responded”.

An innocent child is dead!

We are elect them to keep our communities safe and they can’t/wont do it. The shooting probably just stopped because he ran out of bullets not because of a heroic effort.
