This is pretty interesting, but pretty sure the mosquitoes in Florida and south Louisiana will eat those genetically engineered mosquitoes.

Arrogant fricks continue thinking they can micromanage complex systems, no matter how many times they’re proven wrong.

Lots of insects and small animals eat mosquitoes and their larva. This won’t end well.

We did pretty good with agriculture.
Even some livestock have been successfully modified. Most livestock live off of genetically modified feed products.
We also did pretty good with turning the grey wolf into 360 different breeds of dog. Though not gene edited, we did frick with the natural order so that people can have fur babies. And try convincing those people that their lives are not better as a result of humans fricking with nature.

Just read that Google’s plan is to suppress, not eradicate the mosquito population. The process involves a natural bacteria that some mosquitoes already acquire through natural processes.
Our tampering is more similar to messing with the gray wolf’s natural preferences.

How about we genetically modify the ticks and mosquitoes to fricking HATEE each other?

I see them in SC/NC all the time, but I don't think I have ever seen one in SELA, it may just be my slice of swamp that they don't come around.

If you actually watch some of the video it explains other countries, like Singapore, have had huge success with this program and not many creatures have a mosquito only diet
