Golf Ball Brands

I need some help. My company is sponsoring a team for a golf tournament. We put the team in and would like to give them some gifts for participating. My thought was to give them some golf balls. I haven't played golf since the 90's so I'm sure the technology has changed. We are looking to give them top level golf balls. Can someone point me in the right direction for high end quality balls? And is this something I can grab at Academy or where would I need to go?

Agreed, Pro V1's are the gold standard. Can't go wrong with Taylormade TP5's or Bridgestone's 'Tour B' line either.

If you are looking for something to give clients, I wouldn't do golf balls since they will eventually lose them. I'd do something like a nice golf umbrella, towel, etc. with your company logo on it. Something they can keep for a while. Just a thought?

I normally bring a couple boxes to tournaments with our company's logo on them to hand a sleeve to my playing partners and to any customers I may come across while networking. With rush shipping when I forget it's like $160-170 for 2 boxes. Decent discount if you bulk buy 12+ boxes, I just can't remember those prices because I play one every 3-6 months now for corporate events as opposed to every other weekend in years past.

Any answer other than Prov1 is wrong for corporate golf events. You should be able to logo them with your company too if you really wanted to spend the extra buck.

ProV1’s are your best bet, but they aren’t the best ball for some golfers. How old is your team? Older golfers cannot compress a ProV1 like a softer ball. It’s made for high swing speeds.

If you want to save a little money, the Maxfli Tour is a really good ball and can be had for $120 for four dozen .

I’ve never been good enough to be picky about what brand of golf balls to use. I buy the “second chance” balls in bulk from the internet.

I seriously doubt anyone would turn down Pro V1 balls, but the shelf life would be incredibly short. Ball markers, divot tools, headcovers, towels, umbrellas, shag bags, visors/caps would all last more than 18 holes
