A rule I had was that I wanted to be parked no later than 15 mins until the interview, be there no later than 10 mins before.

I was always told to wear a tie and jacket no matter what, which I did, but I did go on one interview for a job I got. It was the second interview on a Friday and was told it was casual so I dressed business casual.

As for as what to do or say in the interview, there is no format to follow because you never know how it will go. Just be ready to answer the "what is your strength and weakness" questions. If a window opens up, you can bullshite your way through it to the point going on will take up too much time. This actually worked for me once.

I've also went on a job interview for a job I thought I was going to get, for some reason right before I got nervous as hell. Bombed it and didn't get a second interview.

Any tips? I'm very nervous.

Any tips more useful than a quick google search would have required details of the role/industry.

With that degree of a lack of awareness of what’s needed, I hope it’s a job that just needs a warm body or I don’t expect positive outcomes here.

Leave early, bang his wife on the way to the interview, and teabag him right after he asks the first question so he can smell that he has been cucked. This becomes a little more dicey if the interviewer is a straight woman, unless you are an Aggie.

At the end if they ask if you have any questions, say “are there any reservations about me that I could possibly address right now?”

This quite possibly is the most horrific question I could think to apply.

Be genuine, be confident, be brief. Rambling is BS in eyes of interviewer. Do homework on hiring company, business and industry. Sell them on you.

Good luck.

Showcase through all body language and tone that you are without a single doubt the man for the job. Every offer I've gotten I felt this way after the interview. 95% of the interview is subconcious body language, tone, etc. that interviewers who aren't as vested as you are don't even realize it.

It is highly, highly, dependent on how sure you are of yourself. Even if an engineering/technical interview with objective tough problems, it is still highly dependent on how sure you are of yourself.

They say you’re supposed to have freshly shaved balls.

At least they used to say that. Gen Z probably perverted it.

Some Executives I've worked with have hired an interview coach to help overcome jitters & fears. They also assist with honing your competitive edge, which allows you to excel during high-pressure interviews.

In order to be well prepared, a candidate should spend 5 - 8 hours addressing and refining responses. Being prepared builds confidence.
