But BMI doesn’t work for jacked NFL Linebackers therefore it is useless and doesn’t not apply to me!

I question these numbers. That is saying 82.3% of the US population is above the normal weight numbers. Which leave 17.7% at or below normal. I know we're a fat arse country, but that 82+% sounds high
The groups overlap.

Severe obesity is included in obesity and both groups are included in overweight.

At least that’s the only way it makes sense.

If not, frick that’s bad.

At first read that was what I thought, but then I noticed the numbers for overweight were lower than obesity. So I assumed the results were based on where the people fell.

Nearly 1 in 3 adults (30.7%) are overweight.2
More than 2 in 5 adults (42.4%) have obesity.2

Bodybuilders are NOT healthy. Your heart doesn't know the difference between muscle and fat as it pumps blood through your body, it works just as hard to pump blood through 235 lb. Fatties as a muscled 235 lb.

yes your body does. trust me, tried making the same arguement with the barbell medicine crew and got slapped with about a dozen studies and meta analysis with the quickness.

but if you think you are right, i challenge you to find a study proving it. but to save you some time...you wont find it, trust me i tried, you will find the opposite though.

natural bodybuilding, not stepping on stage where you get to dangerously low level of BF, is prolly the healthiest activity known to man.

and being honest you are above 20% bodyfat based on your face....which in a historical sense is obese and you are prolly closer to 25% in that picture or more.

6’6 290

I was 6’6 260 when I played college football and had 6 pack abs. My body type isn’t normal the way I’m built. I have a lot of muscle mass I mean I benched pressed 300 in 9th grade

If I had to guess between muscle and fat I’m probably around 25-28. I am overweight due to a small beer gut but I’m also not morbidly obese. BMI can be accurate for normal sized people but it goes off the rails for less common body types

Its kinda simple. If you can see all 6 abbs, you are under 15%. 2-4 abs, 15-20%. None, you fat.

thats not true, it depends on fat distribution, genetics, how hard you work abs etc. i was 14% couple years ago, verified multiple times by dexa and by picture i posted here, and i couldnt see a single ab.

I think he is saying 28% body fat, not a BMI of 28.
