The hundred year itch has veracity.

In Germany a very good friend was a small boy who remembers watching the Allied bombers flying over and the fires starting in his home city. He also remembered that a negro soldier gave him his first chocolate bar.

He learned to fly and remained active duty in the Bundeswehr and expressed relief that he would be the first man in his family in over a century who would not go to war.

He's in his early 90's now so I guess his voice along with his fellow soldiers is muted.

Remind me, when is Adolph Hitler’s birthday?

German PR needs sensitivity training.

And they will have to build up their armaments in the face of their climate change legislation which basically deindustrialized their entire economy so there’s that to contend with.

Climate Change initiatives have effectively neutered any industrial ability of european countries but thats whole other ball of wax

More Muslim men from Europe joined ISIS than join their own militaries

serious question, what country currently has the most powerful European military?

The “European” part is iffy but nukes aside, Turkey has by far the biggest force and toughest troops in NATO after the US. The Turks are still brutal in training their troops. We called the Germans “the Hair Force” all throughout the end of the Cold War for their lax attitudes and unmilitary grooming.

I would say France has the most Military punch if we're talking traditional European powers. As sad as that may be.

NATO and Europe bout the same thing, I assume errbody thinks. I was thinking maybe a Balkan state or Poland, but completely forgot Turkey was NATO. Seems reasonable they'd be a contender.

they should consolidate with Austria first to increase their population base and then expand those targets.

Need to make an alliance with Italy while they're at it.
