I’ve actually developed a little bit of a different attitude about these types of things


Let me preface that if it was up to me, none of this shite would exist and I’d never have to go


With that said, I’m in my late 20’s so I’ve attended my fair share of shite like engagement parties, couples showers, gender reveals, etc

I realized it’s one of the few times you get all the guys together to drink and shoot the shite. Yeah none of us care at all about the gifts/reasons for the get together....but we end up just spending the entire time outside drinking/smoking cigars while the ladies are inside doing their dumb shite. If none of the guys got along or knew each other then yeah the parties would be pure hell

I went to one a couple of weekends ago for a couple in their early 30s having their first child. What's wrong with a reason to get friends together, have a cookout, enjoy some drinks, and play cornhole and other yard games? So what if they want to take a couple minutes out of the gathering to pop a balloon? It was a good Sunday in my book.

Dude it's the women. Men are only there because their pregnant hormonal wife/gf wants them to be there--it's easier to just go than argue against it and have a pissed off woman on your hands for the next few weeks.
