It’s understandable why young girls/moms and grandmoms to be would want to do this. I am fine with it - as long as its done in the company of other women and gay men.
What I cannot figure out is why any “man” would agree to be a part of this stupidity.
We are failing our boys by allowing society to feminize them. First the gender reveal party and eventually they won’t even know what kind and why their car may be leaking fluid.

Just let the parents post on social media they're having a boy/girl and be done with it.

I, as a father, did my best to never miss anything important to my children. If my son was passionate about sports, I would be there. If he passionate about band, I would be there. If he was passionate about Tap and Jazz, I would be there. My love for him is unconditional.
However, this gender reveal party is as silly as the kindergarten elegant tea party dance that (female) teachers dream up and put on. It’s thought up by women, enjoyed by women, and judged against other women by other women. Just like gender reveals and pre-marriage showers.
It’s everything that is not male. Therefore, it should be boycotted by every male.
