Progressive ideology is perverted: Criminals like Bin Laden and Hamas are victims and their actual victims are responsible for the harm brought upon them. In what world does that make sense?

Bin Laden's letter is the equivalent of "she was asking for it" and these morons accept it as valid and justified.

There are worse things posted about Jews and America on the PT board daily than bin Laden’s letter.

I don't disagree with your position but to say that Colonialism has saved them all is just wrong. Look at Haiti and 85% of Africa.

Look at the ones that have maintained their status from colonialism. The ones you’re bringing up have receded without the guidance of 1st world partnership

Is this some kinda revisionist we colonized those places for their own good history? Haha the entire point of colonialism was to exploit an area/it's resources for our own benefit.

Revisionist history is that colonialism brought no benefit to those colonized. It equates colonization akin to slavery, when it was much closer to a partnership in effect. The colonizing nation took much of the wealth of the colonized, but also brought civilization

Ignoring the positive impacts empire has had on human civilization is the height of dum.

It's part of my theory as a major reason why Sub-Saharan Africa was so under-developed by and large. There were never any sustained major empires large enough to come into conflict. That conflict fueled human development in many ways elsewhere, because if you stopped developing your tech/society, you would ultimately be toppled.

Anytime I re-listen to Wrath of the Mongols I think about it, b/c the steppe has a similar history and once the Mongols cratered out, went back to irrelevancy. But all the surrounding areas who had to deal with the Mongols were much more advanced/developed once that empire fell, b/c they had to worry about invasion constantly.

One thing I will say… I read this letter years and years ago, and it used to frustrate me when people all over tv and in our government used to say “they hate us because of our freedom”. I’m like no, you’re lying and you know it. He literally wrote a letter listing his grievances.

Now, it’s perfectly fine to disagree with his reasoning, but don’t lie to me.

And the same thing is happening with Russia. “Putin wants to take over Europe” is the new “they hate us for our freedom”.

They prefer to feed us propaganda than to hear the grievances from the other side. I mean, I get it. They want as much support as possible in order to achieve their objectives. They don’t want us split about who is the good guy and bad guy in world affairs. They always want to feed us the pro-U.S. propaganda because the other side is feeding propaganda to their own people.

I think it’s the same reason why the people running this country have come down so hard on free speech and social media and “misinformation”. It makes it more difficult to peddle propaganda to us and makes it easier for our adversaries to influence us. China doesn’t have this problem, and it’s an advantage for them. The people running this country wish they had the power to act like China so that their advantage is nullified. And they’re trying hard to make that happen. I get it.

We’re in a tough spot with our freedom as it allows us to be manipulated by foes in this connected world.

What I find funny is that these same people will cancel from existence any figure living or dead if they believe them to have committed any sort of woke infraction, regardless of any other good they brought to this world. Yet they will consider and perhaps even support the views of someone who murdered over 3,000 innocent Americans.

And it seems to be the usual suspect behind it again...white women.

Imperialism is a dirty job, but someone has to do it. Someone should let those broads know that ole Bin Hidin would toss a little acid in their faces for showing a little ankle at the beach.
