you called in with a hangover?
those years I'd show up still wearing the wristband from the club the night before and smelling like a bottle of jack.

Considering the damage done by the group above and the ridiculousness of the others, I would say Gen X is doing alright

Gen-X: Hard AF
Gen-Z: Soft AF

This isn't new information. Turns out that sometimes being neglected by your parents makes kids more resilient and innovative. We didn't have time for any weak arse "I need a self-care day" bullshite.

we had good drugs, great music, and didn't have to wonder if that chick in the bar had a dick.
so I think it turned out alright.

The 1st time I ever called in sick I was the Assistant Branch Manager for a Class A finance company. About half hour after I called in the District Manager and VP of Personnel from corporate office showed up to fire the branch manager.

Showed up the next morning and they handed me the keys, said let us know if you need anything…and btw we fired everyone else too…oh, find a new better location, you will be moving.

The only other time I called in sick was 2nd career where I caught something working in the ER.

Sounds like you're a pus, I haven't called in sick in my life and I'm almost 60.

Don’t forget teachers. I have at least five colleagues at my school who may make it through a complete, five day work week maybe once a month.

The generational shite is dumb.

There are losers and winners in all of them.

Millennials are 40 now. Grow up and stop complaining. We are middle aged adults.

That’s horrible. 3 out of 5 aren’t receiving the help they need

Nah i don't think they make very good teachers as compared to men so I don't think they add to that industry other than providing warm bodies to babysit.

Tons but we never went to clubs during the week. Most benders were at HHs then pubs in Dallas w management tagging along as well. All that did change in 2000 when I got married and had a kid. But 94-99 was a blur.

Social media and connectivity has destroyed the younger generations.

When I see teenagers in the ER, more often than not, they are on some form of anti-depressant.

I don't know who is Gen X or Gen Z, or whatever the hell it's called, but I recently took a different position within my company. My old job was split between 2 people, which says a lot about how much BS I was doing.

1/2 of my old job they moved a temp person into. She's a young girl, with blue hair. I'm assuming around 22-25. I don't think this mother fricker has gone an entire week without calling in sick. I believe she is still considered a temp, so she doesn't even have time to take off. Her position requires her to be there till 5, sometimes later. I'm usually leaving my new position by 3:30 at the latest. Guess who gets stuck covering for her arse.

So yeah, if she's Gen Z, this certainly checks out.
