I agree with that. Theyre enabling and then they complain about it.

Could it just be they never updated their legal address? As in they live somewhere else, but their drivers license still reflects mom and dads house for government mailing purposes?

More of an indictment of how shitty the dmv is than millennials imo

I'm sure no other generation's college aged kids lived with their parents.

What was the cost of tuition for those other generations?

Much too big an age range. I stayed at home until I was 21, worked and saved money, then moved away for grad school. Apartment living for several years then by 34 I owned my own home. There’s a lot of difference between what an 18-21 year old should be doing and what a 30-34 year old should be doing.

Over 25? Now that’s a problem

No it's not. People are waiting until they are financially secure and stable before making large purchases now. Since everything is so fricking expensive now that takes longer.

Speaking for myself, I never changed by permanent address in college and then moved to an apartment in my hometown. I never changed my permanent address because I was at my parents’ house often enough to pick up whatever mail might be there.

I think I changed it when I was 25-26 but hadn’t actually lived there since I was 18.

I don’t think that’s how the census works

So is this the thread where boomers bitch about an 18-24 year old that has to rack up debt to go to college to get a job that pays marginally better because the benefits of wages have not kept up with the skyrocketing cost of college decides to live at home because they can’t afford to pay the mortgage on houses which are also overinflated in cost? You know, none of which existed for boomers when they were 18-34?

I’m 37, haven’t lived at home since I left for college at 18, but I understand the circumstances.

Sounds like older generations are upset they spent money on rent when they could've lived at home

There are plenty of people from my hometown who never went to college and still live at home despite good blue collar jobs. It extends far beyond the millennial barista meme.

Current high school/college aged kids aren't millennials for one, and it's common for a lot of 18-22 year olds to still live at home.

My DL address is 2 addresses ago still. It expires next year so I just haven't bothered to update it.

Both true.

This article is fake news.
