This was so nice. A gentle reminder that we are not "promised" another second on earth.

Although you used MOM in your heading, I took it to mean ANYONE you truly care about. Related or not. Thanks.

My mom passed away last March from cancer at 59. I miss her everyday.

I'm closer to my aunt than I ever was with my mom and we talk a few times a week through either text or phone call. I also try to call my grandma once a month or so. Need to be better about calling her, but she works nights so is not always easy to catch.

Lost my mom suddenly a few months ago. She was 52.

Everything I do reminds me of her. Don't take time for granted guys. You're not here for very long.

did you not know yours?

I’ll assume this was an honest question and that you aren’t a dick. Actually, you are a dick.

I just got off the phone with my dad concerning my mom and her health. Chemo is a bitch.

I hope that you turn out to be a better human.

Lost mine 2 years ago this April. Most unselfish person I have ever known. She truly lived to be there for her kids and grandkids. It’s a different world to live in when you no longer have a living mom who you know would drop everything and help make you feel better regardless of your age.

yes, it was an honest question. I was closer to my father than my mother. But I still love my mother. Lost my father in 2018.
got to watch him wither away, too. you don't have the market cornered on losing a loved one in an unpleasant manner. buck up.

true. I like to be consistent.

also true, although I've only experienced it thru friends, not family.

don't we all.

I talk to mine often. She is a saint, I don’t think women like her even exist anymore. Intelligent, down to earth, level headed, amazing cook, and loves her family unconditionally. She is almost 60 and not a gray hair on her head and fit as a 35 yr old. My dad struck gold with that one

My Mother is the only person I TRULY hate in this life. She doesn't deserve anything from my sisters and I.

I do call my Grandmother daily, she does deserve much more than we could ever give her.

No ill wishes towards you, and I know I don’t have the market cornered.

Folks like you are what makes me want to say to hell with everyone and fish every day. But I also know that you’re a sad, unloved person who thrives on negativity, and I refuse to live that way. Find Jesus, friend. Love, forgive, and hope. Wish you all the best. Make a difference.

My Momma is 98 - called her this morning.

Her hearing deficit makes conversations hard to manage, but the difficulties I put her through when growing up were much greater.

I went through a very difficult time back in 2004-05. I’m getting married now and have been cleaning out and going through things that have been packed away for a long time, stuffed and thrown into boxes and bags and pushed into corners of closets.

I came across a pile of cards and letters. Lots of them, dozens of them, filled with words of comfort, concern, and love for me. I read through them again and realized now...I didn’t realize it then...how those precious sacred acts of love sustained me. I don’t mind telling you that seeing them again made me cry.

I love my Mother.

Cancer took my mom 16 years ago. I am forever grateful I at least had her through my developmental years. Not all children are so lucky. They are the ones I think about the most.
