Anyone have any funny book reads? I usually read fairly serious non-fiction military history stuff, and I'm looking for a break.
I read I Suck at Girls a while back, and I was LOL'ing while reading it. Anyone else got something else that's a good funny, easy read?
Appreciate it

"The Lie" by Chad Kultgen is laugh out loud funny.
If you want funny/serious lit "A Confederacy of Dunce" is always my go to.

He's not a novelist, but anything by PJ Rourke is hilarious.

The funniest book I ever read is "A Confederacy of Dunces". As a lifelong resident of the N.O. area I can identify with it, but I am not just being a homer. If there is a funnier book that ever won the Pulitzer Prize, I would like to know what it is.

I second Confederacy of Dunces and Me Talk book by Sedaris.
If you like country humor, Lewis Grizzard had some good ones. I recommend, "My Father was a Pistol and I'm a Son of a Gun". Be prepared to laugh and you better have handkerchief handy, especially if you've experienced the loss of your father.

Good Omens by Gaiman and Prachett is pretty good.
quote:
You see, there was a bit of a mixup when the Antichrist was born, due in part to the machinations of Crowley, who did not so much fall as saunter downwards, and in part to the mysterious ways as manifested in the form of a part-time rare book dealer, an angel named Aziraphale. Like top agents everywhere, they've long had more in common with each other than the sides they represent, or the conflict they are nominally engaged in. The only person who knows how it will all end is Agnes Nutter, a witch whose prophecies all come true, if one can only manage to decipher them.
