I mean, they are also manufactured in New Orleans and Shreveport

Most of the process is suspended during a state of emergency. It’s actually scary the powers a parish president has during a state of emergency.

During a declared state of emergency, which this is, a parish president, which she is, absolutely can. The powers of a parish president during a declared state of emergency are vast.

Trump can't take away his security clearance. He has it by virtue of being one of the "Gang of Eight". Its automatic and has nothing to do with Trump.
Honestly, there was no choice. If you voted for a guy who thought it was cool to give speeches in a Nazi uniform in college and never changed his views, I sincerely hope your soul has changed. There was no choice in that election.
It’s pretty clear all that is required is a letter from time to time. Been done more that way than in person. No requirement of an address.

The Cherokees were not at war with anyone before the trail of tears. They were primarily farmers. People just wanted their land. It went to the Supreme Court. They weren’t the plains tribes. Learn your history.
Does this bother any of you?

The Trump campaign chairman was sharing campaign polling data with a Russian intelligence asset in the midst of the campaign.
That’s your story from the Manafort filing (since they messed up the redactions).

Likely more to the story. A court can order you to do it for up to six months after the date of divorce. Its very common.

You serve 87 percent of your sentence in federal prison.

More insidious? 4,000 people were lynched in the South v. Banks had racist lending practices. Both are wrong, but come on man.
You guys really need to learn how federal sentencing guidelines work before you comment. Manafort will get around ten years and Cohen will get around five.
Guilty on 8 counts

Mistrial in others.
I’m not going to say I know. Likely something the special council’s office has not concluded investigating. Could be a lot of things. To date, this investigation has not gone on for an unusually long period of time.
Well... he plead guilty so he will never have a trial. There is no right to a speedy sentencing. This isn’t really all that out of the ordinary for a cooperating witness in a complicated case.
More than half of people on SNAP have jobs.
Just a reminder...

Ed Orgeron has a habit of anointing transfer QBs as saviors.
Ole Miss
Schaeffer then transferred to Ole Miss prior to the 2006 season and was named the team's starting quarterback, even before arriving to campus or being ruled academically qualified to play. He was expected, by Head coach Ed Orgeron, to graduate from College of the Sequoias in June, which Schaeffer failed to do. So he returned to his home in Florida and enrolled in correspondence courses to complete the six academic hours he needed for admission to Ole Miss. However, the correspondence courses were taking too long due to their open ended dates, which Coach Orgeron said. "When you take correspondence courses, there's an open-ended date. Some of the courses were taking too long to complete. I didn't know if he could complete them by the time camp started." Schaeffer eventually did arrive and started all 12 games and completed 115-of-244 passes (47.1%) for 1,442 yards, nine touchdowns, 10 interceptions and a passer rating of 100.75. Then in 2007, he completed 35-of-93 passes (37.6%) for 578 yards, five touchdowns, four interceptions and a passer rating of 98.98. In the preseason, he was selected as the SEC's best Scrambler by Athlon.

Two investigations
Posted by SP on 5/3/18 at 4:15 pm
Just a reminder, there are two investigations. One is a special counsel investigation being run by Robert Mueller. Mueller referred the Michael Cohen matter to the Southern District of New York who now runs that investigation separate from the special counsel investigation. A whole lot of conflating the two is being done on this board.
Are you trying to say there are not areas on the map completely encircled, but not included in the “City of St. George”? And that said areas are not primarily apartment complexes? That’s what I meant by “circles”. However, I think you knew that.
If there are not areas like that then “St. George” supporters should fire their graphic designers because the maps they are putting out show this.
There are many reasons to be against “St. George”. There could be some reasons to be for it. I have yet to find any compelling so I have not signed a petition. I like my neighborhood fine the way it is.
The main reason supporters have given me for forming the city is then forming an ISD. With the map “St. George” supporters themselves drew, it makes it highly unlikely an ISD would pass court muster, and thinking it would pass parish wide is even less likely.
People should know that before they sign.

re: Baton Rougeans...how much better would life be in St George?

There’s the rub. You can’t lawfully form a new school district for that reason. We’ve actually made some progress in the schools with innovative charters and increased magnet options since the ending of the desegregation case.
I am old enough to remember what forced bussing was like. Pretty exciting to see people who want to bring it back.

If they had included the apartment complexes they may have had a small chance in court, but it still would have been difficult. If the organizers were really about a school district they would have kept Gardere and actually spent some effort to get some signatures there. They say there was “no interest” there. I’m willing to bet there was not a lot of time spent knocking on doors to find out.
Plus, St. George will never get an ISD. The organizers know this too. First, the map they drew for the city (circles around “apartment complexes”... come on) will never survive a court challenge. Second, the parish voting patterns have changed since Central got an ISD. There is nowhere close to a majority in EBR for a St. George ISD (and the whole parish votes). Once the necessary tax increases are layed out (b/c St. George ISD would have to assume substantial legacy costs AND build new schools) I’m not even sure an ISD could pass within the boundaries of St. George.
There may be a way to justify St. George based upon “other benefits”, but I don’t see them outweighing everything associated with adding another level of government. However, anyone who is for St. George or selling St. George because of an ISD either doesn’t understand what forming an ISD would entail or is being lied to by someone who does.

Every state gets two statues in the Capitol. Louisiana’s are Justice White and Huey Long. States have often changed them out over time.
I had to explain it twice so I’m not sure if he has access to Google.

re: How exactly would Wade cheat at recruiting?

Your question has been answered. LSU hired one of Nike’s up and coming coaches. Read any of the FBI documents and there is a roadmap. Will Wade is likely arranging shoe company payments to players like the other successful basketball coaches.
Unless you believe that he is such a fantastic coach that he is the lone unicorn not doing this and these players are tuning down large sums of money because of their love of LSU.
