welcome to baton rouge melissa!

The manager, Melissa Ma, moved from Alabama to Baton Rouge to run the new indoor park. Since opening, Ma says that they have been surprised by two things: parents dropping off young children and teenagers fighting on weekends. She reported a fight with several teenagers that happened on March 7, and she has seen Instagram posts encouraging fighting there.

Fun City has updated signage with the following requirements throughout the park:
Waivers are a requirement for all buying admission into the park.
All customers under 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent, guardian or accompanying adult.
All guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Parents or guardians must stay inside the park.
Drop-offs are not allowed.
Friends' parents or other adults cannot supervise minors. Valid ID may be required.
Guests under 18 without a parent or guardian will NOT be admitted.
Only clear bags are allowed inside the park.
No backpacks or large purses unless they are clear.
All bags are subject to security checks.
No fighting, disruptive or inappropriate behavior.

Which part of Alabama isolated her from this?

Should have been surprised if those things weren’t happening

This part would suck. When my daughter was young, we moms would take turns shlepping the kids to various activities. If a group of friends want to go together, all of them are going to need a willing and available parent.

I have an 8 year old son. never hear of the place. figured someone would have had a birthday party there and we would have had to go.....
looked up the site and noticed it was located on the North side of Florida Blvd, just east of BRCC.
someone didnt do the proper research before building the facility..... i hate going to the jump park by Mall of LA as it is, no way im taking him to florida Blvd area..... most my son's friends do the one in Prairieville on airline across from Walk Ons......

I saw on the Facebooks, that Fun City is coming to Houma in the old Rouses by Sam's. How viable is this in the Bayouland?

This is what I don't get... why not trespass the miscreants and press charges where necessary?
Actually, I know exactly why that won't happen... "disparate impact".

So I don't know if you're actually FROM Baton Rouge, but there's already enough red flags all over a place like this to absolutely guarantee me or any of my kids would ever go here.
If there actually weren't fights here, I'd be surprised.
What are you gonna tell me next? Avoid BREC parks in Brookstown, Scotlandville or Glen Oaks?

Probably got grants and incentives to open in an "underserved" area.

First of all, I think it’s a shame that children in the United States have to be chaperoned at all times. Boomers and Gen Xers were essentially free range from the moment they could walk, but gen alpha is expected to have a parent 5’ away at all times or else the parents go to jail.
With that said, it’s predictably sad that a certain youth culture ruins these kinds of places for everyone, and that businesses get overwhelmed trying to police their predictably crappy violent behavior.
I hate living in a low trust society filled with violent criminals who seemingly have a free hand to make everyone else miserable while those trying to stay within the lines are endlessly harassed.
