and BTR get daily nonstops to ORD on United.

My understanding is they're pretty close to making this happen.

American has surpassed Delta in market share at BTR.

That's due to the merger with US Airways, primarily. But DL's other hubs don't really lend itself to additional traffic from BTR.

Or at least a Delta focus city status like Austin.

I think they're getting there...all DL hubs are serviced plus a few additional routes that come and go. Would be interesting to see if DL could use MSY as a "focus city" for South/Central America given its new alignment with LATAM.

This thread make me look up info on the airport.

So it goes to Houston, DFW, and Hotlanta a few times a day, and THEY are getting a new Terminal?

Lafayette does blow but they’re finally building a new terminal.
Yeah LFT was an odd choice for Frontier. Might support it in Shreveport, but then again, SHV already has daily non-stop flights to Denver on United & non-stop to Vegas, Orlando, Destin on Allegiant.

Now that I know frontier was flying out of LAF, I’m interested. But now it’s too late.

Not surprising really. Lafayette is a small market.

Assuming the flight actually happens. They will move your flight or cancel as they see fit. If canceled there next flight to get home may be 3 days away. Again frick them.

Like Spirit Airlines, they will cancel a flight if there aren't enough passengers booked for it. Happens a good bit.

New Orleans is the only size market in Louisiana that fits Southwest Airlines’ target size (has to be 800 thousand +).

I def see American putting at least one or two daily flights to CLT. Surely American wants to compete with Delta at LFT and this is the way to do it unless they risk cannibalizing their DFW route.

Well the new terminal has 5 gates. You would hope they could utilize more than the 3 they currently use

Hopefully they add another TSA line or at least make it more efficient at the new terminal. I have pre-check so it’s not a huge deal for me, but the single line backs up pretty bad for the early flights
