Safe travels to you.

New GFS model at 5 PM shows a Category 3 hitting South of Lafayette/New Iberia. Wouldn't be surprised to see a further shift East.

So the conventional wisdom and likelihood is that stronger equals further east? Weaker equals more likely to hit around Lake Charles?

At least Lake Charles residents all have new roofs and problem trees were taken out 4 years ago. We should cruise through a Cat 1 or lower as far as wind concerns go.

Also, the city and parish have worked hard to clean the drainage all over. I have to give Nick credit for that as the crews removed a ton of debris from the drains after the flood a few years ago so hopefully that helps with some of the flooding.

F. I do contract work at a LTC facility in new Iberia. Hopefully our admin team who’s been out for quite a bit is paying attention.

Landfall position will be a function of strength. And yes, stronger goes east in this case.

I'm a 13.5 hour drive away and I'm considering canceling the flight and just driving Tuesday night.

Not as concerned about the weather as I am about everyone from new orleans to corpus going full retard 3 days too early.

Yep

Yep. I ended up taking my wife and kids out. Good move as we had damage to the house. I don’t want my kids to develop the PTSD I have with these stupid things because I was too stubborn or stupid to leave when we could like we never did when I was a kid. For the last 2 hours my heart is beating out of my chest and my vision is vibrating. Every other aspect in life I can control myself but hurricanes I have no ability to calm down or function it’s just complete emotional overload and jam in my brain.

I’ll calm down when I have my plans settled. Waiting on my flight change now. Trying to land back in Nola late Tuesday night.

Tigerdroppings as always comes through for me. Despite all the stupidity and retardation and trolls and nonsense when real shite goes down this board has a few people that always come through and for that the last 15 years I have been eternally grateful.

Yep. Everything that could get wrecked has already been wrecked. Everything that survived has been fortified. Everything that hasn’t been dealt with is already desolate.
