Last report of the day from Thibodaux. Had 8.48” of rain since this morning. Not sure what our top gust was, but it was rough for a few hours. Heard of flooding in West Thibodaux. I had to drive my truck up to my house generator to jump it, thankfully it worked. Anyone want to come help fill in some ruts? Going have a couple drinks with the wife then go to bed. Been a heck of a day but thankful we are good to go.

How will the shift in winds affect the Jefferson Parish flooding issues?

We lost power for about two hours and got it back for 40 mins or so and went out again. Strangest thing is the street on my utility pole is on. People next door and across the street have power also.

Where the hell is the center now?

It doesn't matter. The "eye" is 80+ miles wide.

Does Chris Franklin get to fill out a score card for the NHC like coaches do for refs?

Thinking there wouldn't be kind remarks...

We’re at the south end of Baton Rouge with Demco and apparently we’re connected to Ascension Parish. AP has 85% outage with demco right now.

If it's not raining too bad go outside and trace the wires coming into your house. If they come in overhead and go through a weatherhead into your home meter, you likely are fed from a pole-mounted transformer. That transformer probably feeds 2 or 3 houses. If there was a branch anywhere near that thing it probably tripped the fuse upstream and knocked out just a few of you.

According to the shittu weather apps, over BR. And they are way off….lol

Probably the strongest wind gusts of today in BR, but it's been nothing major. Maybe 40mph with my unscientific guesses.

All good in the garden district as well. Power still on, no flooding. But that was one hell of a long rainstorm.
