I’m walking up to people saying Hammond/Northshore target zone but where is this data coming from? Just trying to see it for myself. People just seeing a few early morning models pushing the possible path east of BR?

Basically, until the experts weigh in, the track hasn’t changed much but there is a concern for a likely eastward turn.

The OT woke up haywire. The GFS continues to model east of the NHC, which is giving people anxiety.

Its certainly possible, but it seems like we’re jumping the gun.

The 06z hurricane models are coming in with St Mary coastline landfall but the official NHC Track is still Iberia parish.

The 10 am NHC update will obviously be important for whether the professionals agree with model trends and shift track eastward.

Radar GIF in OP, you can really see the dry air being sucked in. Good sign.

He’s not being sensitive, you’re throwing out baseless, fear mongering bullshite opinions. “A week with no power in my opinion”. fricking stupid thing to say when lots of people are worried enough already. frick off.

WWL’s Malone just said he expects the 10am update to move the track East.

The 06z Euro is running. Like said previously the NHC seems to take the Euro more so than the GFS for some reason

I think the official track has been west of the models for a while now.

At what point does the NHC cave to almost every model?

It has and for like the 800th time, Louisiana has ~40kt of sheer at its coast line. If you arent in the 30 mi radius of the eye your bigger problems will be the associated tornado outbreak more than the damn hurricane.

A few Mets called this a couple days ago and this board was having none of it.

The NHC kept saying they had low confidence in their forecast.

Now good data is coming in so they can hone in.
