No way in hell that would ever happen. China has any and every person in a role of leadership within all the global governance groups bankrolled

Wasn't SARS the last major pandemic before COVID? The response was nothing like this.

SARS was 2003. For better or for worse, Social media has played a big part as to why the response has been what it has been.

who responded appropriately

Sweden (coulda done better protecting long term care facilities) and Switzerland.

Both done with it.

570 and 265 or so deaths/million.

Because worldometer says differently

I see Germany had 22,236 Friday. Population 83.09M.
=.00002676

US had 83,757 Friday. Population 328.2M
=.00002552

Germany had more cases per capita than USA

SARS was deadlier, but it spread slower due to symptoms being much more severe. Covid-19 can spread like wildfire given the right conditions, but it's less deadly. It's hard to compare the two.

I think they are testing people who have colds (a coronavirus) and are getting positives...there are virtually no deaths in EU do to Covid since the first round

Mainly because China has a permanent seat on the security council and veto power.

I hate up voting cases and deaths.
But, it's just staggering how fricking stupid the global response has been. The strategy should have been mitigation from damn near day 1.

Way more deaths resulted. Way, way, way more collateral deaths and damage resulted.

So life expectancy in the US is 78.5 years...excess deaths this year are approximately 300K / 66% of those excess deaths are Covid - so that leaves 100k for other reasons

in the 25-44 range excess deaths are 24,832 - 5,700 of those are Covid related so 19,132 of those are something else

if you look at years lost in life / life expectancy minus average death age the numbers will blow your mind

Using 35yr old for the 25-44 range as average death age / and the 19,132 excess death not due to covid - those people cumulatively have lost 832,242 years of life

All covid deaths <55 years old equals 580k

Note I'm going up to 55years old

Yeah... and the guy dressed like a doctor on the TV said that it included “things” that trump should have done. He doesn’t say what they “things” are, but you know these “things” will make the virus just magically disappear.

Yeah, his Chinese pals will stop spreading it once he's installed as president.
