Social media is a cesspool with all these people terrified of this virus. Many are morbidly obese and maybe they should focus on controlling their own health instead of trying to legislate their fear on the rest of us. Everyone will be exposed and either get it or not and we can move on with life.

Given the situation, how deadly we thought it was, and how little we knew about it back in Feb/March, I was on board with the first lockdown, up to a month. After that I believe we knew enough to determine that mitigation through limiting large events, social distancing, and masks would generally curb the spread enough to keep it manageable as long as people complied. I also was on board with phased opening as to be sure the mitigation measures were working as intended.
California and NYC have most their minds.
