Do you guys seriously not understand the difference between someone who has a mental break with reality and someone who is a run of the mill piece of shite criminal?

As in 2012, not in the aftermath of this event.
Maybe a couple years later in this 2014 article about his possible return to football. Either way, this doesn't fit with the "he was a good boy" moment they were going for.

I remember this kid. He sounds mentally ill.
He is.
Word was he was schizophrenic. Like many mentally ill people he would stop taking his meds b/c he felt fine and then would spiral. He just straight up vanished from campus after the Alabama game in 2012 and never came back. His family wasn't exactly helpful and it looks like they continued to ignore how sick he was.
Very sad b/c this was probably preventable.

Yeah, and most of the white Devils on here aren't? You just noticed it more because it's against the grain of this board.

You're right. Most of these cases are preventable. Such a tragic situation.

This is the true story here that nobody wants to address.
Same exact thing with all of the recent gun events.

You don't have to look much further than this thread to understand how shite like this can end in tragedy. People are ignorant. They think clinically insane is the same as being a simple criminal or just weird.
edit: Sometimes people can try to help to no avail. (Oregon shooter) was getting help.

It's not like she said he didn't do it or didnt do anything. How many parents do you expect to say my kids is a piece of shite and sociopath and he has always been a piece of shite.

I was going to post this yesterday, but I thought it had already been posted....
While I can sort of give her a pass since he hadn't done all the stuff he has done in the last 3 years at that point, I dont see how he goes from being an all-star individual to straight up butchering people out jogging without being provoked, and then admitting to it without any qualms. She never noticed ANYTHING in his behavior that indicated a proclivity for violence?

No, but they could say something like "He had his issues, and we were all hoping he'd come out okay.." Thats not trashing him, and its not exalting him. He's a murderer. I think she'd have to be blind, deaf and dumb if she claims she saw no indicators of odd behavior.

Do you think someone with a mental illness can't also be a piece of shite criminal?

When your definition of good boy is one who hasn't killed anyone yet, he was.

So his friends and family bailed on him when they realized he wasn't going to be bringing home million dollar checks? ...Weird.

Yeah, but he's black. Mental illness doesn't count.

Sounds like dude had some deep seated mental issues.
