I forgave them about two years ago. They have never asked for forgiveness, so I never told them. They know what they did and I know 28 years later it eats at their soul as they begin to prepare to meet their maker. I am 100% over it and have no animosity, but unless they ask me for forgiveness they will never know that. And, they really don’t have to worry about whether I forgive them, so who cares, right?

I DGAF enough to feel wronged by people. I am pretty laid back. I guess I have never been truly wronged, or I just see both sides. I have offended others and I find their lack of forgiveness amusing.

Has the person that has offended you asked forgiveness? What did they do and are they aware they have offended you. There is no forgivensss to someone who does not see the offense given.

I read a novel once where one character said "A blue-eyed man never forgets".

I have blue eyes.

Supposedly the forgiveness is for me, not them. Anyone tried this technique?

Leave that to God...that's his job.

Instead, you should ruin said persons life. It’ll make you feel much better knowing you bested the human who hurt you the most. You are the alpha, these are animalistic instincts engrained in our dna. Mamby pamby forgiveness shite was invented by subpar humans to try and gain a leg up on the alphas.

That would be my ex wife. It’s much easier to keep hating her than it would be to ever forgive her. I gave her a couple chances after the dust settled from our divorce. She always showed her true colors. frick that bitch.

I don't think I truly hate anyone. Not in a sense that "forgiveness" would be relevant.

This is where I’m at....being an empathetic person can really be a bad thing sometimes. Humans are pretty fricking dumb creatures, especially those who do incredibly selfish or narcissistic things with no regard for anyone or anything else. They’re dumb and they’re weak. Those of us with high EQ personalities see through this shite in a heartbeat. While forgiveness may not be the right term, we have an ability to move on and accept the person for their shortcomings. I may never speak to someone who wronged me again, I may be forced to deal with them again. Either way, I know I’m in control and they’re just a weak person. Hard to be intimidated by blatant weakness.

The emotion I was speaking of earlier wasn’t hate. I think it was hurt. I got over that and moved on. I don’t think I’ve ever hated someone. I don’t think I’m capable of it.

Dude, that's total bullshite. Hate is fuel...

Yea didn't see this getting serious. Man think of how often you sit and think about the people that hate you. They are out there hating you, but you don't know, care, or give a shite. All the while they're near stroke resenting something you did. Who exactly is winning there?
