They could take off 40k before I’d think about it. People are so fricking stupid. I don’t think you are rich driving your $100k pick up truck. I think you are dumb.

You mean the people involved in creating the Covid plandemic don’t you. Covid just did what it was told to do.

$16,000 off of an overly inflated MSRP. Not as good of a deal as you think.

Well we know it’s 16k better than people that paid msrp recently. Think about it

What the hell do you and Ford actually plan off making on a one vehicle sale. This tells me if they can take a cut like this, they are still making money and are bending over the consumers.

The dealers probably aren't making money on the ones w/such high discounts but once you reach a certain point it's better to take a loss on a product than it is to let it sit taking up space at your lot or storage facility.

It can be very good depending on the truck.

Definitely. That floor plan interest on vehicles that sit can hurt dealerships. They'll sell at a loss and hope to make money on financing and the manufacturer gives them incentives to move inventory. And everything on the lot is floor planned.

Car dealerships would murder people in the street for the markup percentages that furniture stores make.

Every time they have told me $15000 off MSRP I realize all they did was raise the price on “MSRP”

These are the kind of things that make marketing majors so happy. Inflate the price, run a “sale”, and watch people flock to it. I do find the psychology of it fascinating. That CMO is getting a nice bonus I bet.

I think that depends on how much was factory rebates and how much was the dealer discounts.

I agree prices have gotten stupid, especially for high trims but I don’t expect them to come down much either. I think the best we can hope for are the prices to stay flat for a few years with maybe better rebates.
