Why are South Korea and Singapore not experiencing all these death when they haven’t took as drastic measures as the US?
Their cases per day are going down

I mean compared to what some of the other countries have done, we are taking a very delayed approach to dealing with this and allowing business owners to ignore recommendations from the CDC, as well as local, state, & federal governments.
Lies. Some countries haven't done shite, their sports and everything have continued as usual. Some are just now restricting travel. We were way ahead of everyone on that.
Stop the fear mongering you weak minded bitch.

That idiots will take the absolutely worse case prediction scenario and run with it like it was fact.

That “study” only monitored 12 people...
I’m not a scientist but even I know that’s a rather small sample size to make any determination considering there were thousands infected in China. Also the study says that those whose lung capacity diminished could probably regain by...gasp...exercise.

I keep seeing this too. "Well, if we do nothing, we will have 1million deaths by next year..."
Uhh, we are doing something. You can't go catch a movie, eat inside a restaurant, or go workout. Millions of people are now out of work with no way to earn money. It's like the governors and mayor's all racing to enact the most stringent restrictions, people are furiously googling to find the most outrageous estimations they can find to one-up their FB friend who posted about their buddy in the national guard who knows interstate travel will be shutdown at midnight. All this shite is crazy

You should go work for CNN. You would fit in great there.

So, if after taking all of these universal precautions, the death toll from this virus is relatively low, lets say 1000. Wouldn’t it make sense that the seasonal flu numbers should also plunge? After all the same precautions should reduce the transmission of the flu also. So by the end of the flu season if the number of deaths from the flu aren’t drastically lower, couldn’t it be assumed that COVID-19 wasn’t as deadly as it is being made out to be?

I don't care if a million people die from the economic fallout of these measures, if we save just one life from the ravages of coronavirus, nothing should be seen as an overreaction.

ies. Some countries haven't done shite, their sports and everything have continued as usual.
If anyone is weak-minded, it is the people taking their stance on a global pandemic with zero medical experience & ignoring recommendations from people who DO have the experience.

I think this is an overreaction.

If relying on professionals' opinions instead of inaccurate memes on social media is panicking, sure.

How many people will die because their needed medications and supplies are delayed/shut off because of this massive overreaction?

Because many out there believe we should do nothing. Read this board for examples.
