FWIW Here is a thread from a year ago....Kia Telluride's transmission failed after 62 miles LINK

Can anyone verify this...
quote:

And if you don't get your shite serviced at a Kia dealership your warranty is all but null. Also true if you miss any of your mileage check-in appointments. I had a 2014 Forte that had an engine and transmission go bad before 50k miles. Engine was replaced under warranty but I missed my last mileage appointment and couldn't produce proof that anywhere I took the car for service had the transmission checked so they wouldn't replace it.

I've heard numerous complaints about their warranties..anyone have good experiences?

Well clearly for those buying a fricking Kia this isn't a concern.

I don't own one but ride in one everyday almost and they're very nice. I was shocked by how much leg room the bucket seats have. Finishings are really nice as well. The tailgate auto open/close is a little slow and sluggish for a brand new car, but I'm quite impressed with it.

Some family members with a Hyundai Genesis were infuriated by the whole experience. They had a lot of serious problems, and the dealership just wasn't up to the task.

Their car would spend months getting repairs. When they had it, they were constantly worried about it breaking down. They sold it well before the warranty expired.

Don’t own one but have ridden in one. It was honestly very nice.

Hoping to ride in a Palisade soon.

Want. If only it had the same manual transmission that's available for the G70.

The main issue with Kia is that it is a Kia.

Also what is a fully loaded Kia? Is full size spare tire.

I don't own either one but having driven both, I would take the Hyundai Palisade over the Telluride.

We were looking between the Telluride and the Palisade. Ultimately decided on the Palisade. It’s really nice and my wife loves it. We’ll have to spend a little on “extras” to get the black wheels/etc. that she liked that came as options on the Telluride.

A friend of mine’s wife got the Palisade about a month ago, and that thing is fine. We went on a 3 hour road trip in it, and I was blown away. The thing is comfortable as hell, and the tech on it was awesome.

One of the features it had which blew me away was whenever you put on a turn signal, a video of the blindside camera for that side pops up in your gauge display where the MPH or where the RPMs are. Maybe that’s a new feature as I haven’t driven a new car in ages, but it blew me away, was so cool.

2018 specs, but still....

KIA STINGER PERFORMANCE SPECS
The 2018 Kia Stinger GT horsepower let’s you jump from zero to 60 mph in just 4.7 seconds. Impressed? Everyone else is, too. Impressed and unnerved, if truth be told — it isn’t every day that an all-new vehicle outpaces every luxury touring car in the segment.

Just take a look at how its performance specs match up against traditional rivals:

2018 BMW 440i Gran Coupe: Zero to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds.
2018 Porsche Panamera RWD V6: Zero to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds.
2018 BMW 640i Gran Coupe: Zero to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds.
2018 Audi A5 Sportback: Zero to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds.
This is a vehicle that’s AMCI Testing-Certified to outpace 2018 Porsche Panamera RWD 3.0L V6 acceleration and beat the 2018 BMW 640i Gran Coupe M Sport in terms of:

Overall Slalom
Overall Cornering Performance

This. If I wasn't convinced it would fall apart after 50,000 miles, I would have a Stinger.

And that isn't hyperbole. I know a lot of folks who have had higher end Hyundai, Genesis, or Kia products that experienced frequent problems with electrical systems, engine cooling, transmission, and paint/trim issues after just a couple of years of ownership.

The problems are exacerbated by a dealership network accustomed to selling disposable cars to people with bad credit along with bitter service departments hardened by customers that don't maintain their vehicles.

That's in line with what I've seen with the Genesis. It's simply not the same after-sales ownership experience that you'd have with a BMW, Cadillac, Lexus, or Acura.

Rode in one... And to be honest it felt very much like a minivan on the inside without the benefit of the sliding doors. Not a bad thing, minivans seem to get an unfair shake. But it really didn't seem dissimilar to the inside of a new Toyota Sienna. Very nice with lots of creature comforts. Friend seems to love it.

Kia telluride is a great example of how easily people can be brainwashed by a sleek advertising campaign.

Very true. The appearance is very appealing (Especially the Nightfall package). We bought a Ford Explorer Sport in 2017 and just paid it off. That bastard has cost us over 5K the last year with the following 1- Bad airbag wiring 2-Rack and Pinion gone and 3- Computer died. All after warranty expired.

We would like nothing better than to GTFA from that vehicle. My wife loves the look and advertising of the Telluride.

Bought mine in June 2019. I have 42k miles on it now. Wife wants a second one now.
We both like how easy they are to drive, the safety features, apple play & the screen, and the fact that it has a 3rd row seat if needed.

Two friends traded in their autos for one.
