How do you do it? I rarely get upset or hate what I do,but every now and then there some inept person who makes work miserable.

If this is everyday for you, how the hell are you coping?

They need the money and don't have balls to take matters into their own hands.

I work for the money.

I like what I do, but sometimes I deal with people and that can vary from great to awful.

It is what it is.

If I had a huge trust fund, I would not "work."

You have to ask yourself "what other choices do I have?". Personally, I think its almost inhuman to have your typical office.. You know, its filled with cubicles with several offices throughout. Its a depressing look. An area that has white walls, carpet and then in each cubicle there is someone working, spending the majority of the day in..

It's a part of life. Just roll with it and have a beer after work.

Honestly, I have vowed to never again work at a job that I find miserable. I have poised myself to be marketable enough to change jobs if the need arises, and talk openly about that with my superiors. I don't act like a bitch and work my arse off to be productive, but I don't feel like I should ever really be miserable at work.

I actually worked for 43 years and of the 43, I did not like what I did for about 10 of those years. The 10 years were not consecutive though. Basically it was the workload during those 10 years that caused the issues at the time.

I was at a job that I absolutely hated. I didn't realize how miserable it made me until I finally got away from it. It started affecting my personal life and made me awful to be around. I coped by drinking, a lot. I was able to distance myself from work on the weekends, but during the week I was probably pretty difficult to be around.

While working at a job like that it doesn't register just how shitty it is. Don't get me wrong, I knew I had a terrible job but figured to some extent everyone dislikes their job. I looked for other jobs, but the job market in my field is really bad. It got so bad that I lost it one day and told my boss if he wanted something done he could do it himself. I got fired and it was one of the best things that has ever happened to me. I started my own business and look forward to going to the office now.

I just know I have to do it and that once I'm off I can go about my business. My job allows me the freedom to live the lifestyle I enjoy, it's a trade off.

I don't mind people, but I hate my commute, and I'm rarely motivated to head out the door in the morning.

I have no answers. Ungodly amounts of independent wealth seems unlikely at this point.
