He also said to discipline them when needed (Proverbs).

If they're young jumping around in pews, shouting, etc, take them outside and discipline them.

If they are infants and crying, take them outside and soothe them.

It's not rocket science.

Catholic priest really took that message to heart.

So many Christian ministers did - Baptist, Methodist, Episcopalian, and let’s not forget some of the Pentecostal cults. Who knew so many school teachers were so Christian as well.

I hope this is a terrible attempt at a troll or I think you've missed the point of church up to this point.

If your focus in church is on anything other than God, your relationship with Christ, and opening your heart for prayer and praise. You need to reevaluate what you are doing. Open your heart and mind to the word of God and you will pay no attention to the kids around you.

Also, those kids will one day be the Church if you adults do your job. Kicking them out or judging the parents isn't helping. I can assure you, the parents are more upset about it than you and the other ones being hypocritical.

Wanna know why your congregation is slowly dying? Old fuddy-dutties getting upset that a kid is talking in church and the family going elsewhere.

Why do most churches have a nursery?

Hmm

Catholic Churches? Or non denominational? Every Catholic church I've ever been to does not have a nursery. A cry room, yes and they're usually filled to the brim.

Kids crying in worship is the sound of the future church.
It used to bother me too until our pastor told me the above.

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume you didn't get the point of the message this week.

quote:

II Peter 1:5-7 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

You know that’s against the teachings of Jesus right!
1. “Let the children come to me” - Jesus
2. He cursed the Pharisees (meaning the separated ones) who separated themselves from everyone else because they were “better” because they were the most holy. You are acting just like the Pharisees that Jesus curses.
