then frick that BS, claim you got covid and you have to miss it

you cannot possibly justify spending that much to go to an event you arent involved in unless its a direct family member

Sucks brah.

I did a broken bow bachelor party for $600 last month, Air BNB, booze, other party favors, food, etc and it was a sick cabin and had a great time.

Also booked flights from DFW-Miami and Miami-Saint Croix for $1,300 round trip last week. I feel like you didn’t look hard.

They were ridiculously cheap forever. Of course now they are going to make $$ back.

I'm leaving for Miami a month from today, flying on AA directly into Miami. Round-trip for the three of us was under $525 total

$900 round trip 1/2 way across the country is not absurd. It is somewhat higher than most have become used to, but not that bad.

I'm seeing flights RT Thursday to Monday for $466. Completely reasonable.

Greatest economic recovery ever, Jack!

Should’ve saved that $.16 from your 4th of July picnic.

Pretty sure private companies charging what they can get away with for profits is capitalism.

Do you really think airlines are private companies?

I have friend who works part-time 4-hr shifts 2/days/wk for Jet Blue. Her & her family flies for free and she gets buddy rates of $20 r/t tix for friends.

It's incentive enough to make one consider a part-time job with Jet Blue.

Try booking earlier, Baw. Wife booked Orlando to Vancouver, BC for July, 2 months ago, $385. Just checked and the same flight is now $650.

That companion pass on SW holds a lot of value too

Not really southwest tickets are usually twice as expensive as anyone else. I had companion pass for a couple of years but rarely used it because it was cheaper to buy two tickets on another airline.

This was true before covid at least.

same friend has a wedding mobile, AL on october 28-30. the absolute cheapest flight I can find is with american, Dallas to Mobile $580

I can explain the Flight part. The Mobile airport is considered one of the highest in the entire southeast. There is zero competition there and the only thing keeping it afloat is business travellers. You are much better off getting a flight into Pensacola or Gulfport.

I’m actually surprised the fare to Mobile is not more.

When we lived in Houston, there were times we’d fly to Mobile to see family and we could’ve gone to London/Paris/etc cheaper AND faster.

I don’t remember the exact price, but I’m not exaggerating at all.
