Keep voting for democrats and prices will get even worse.

Democrats think that economics is some new twitter account.

I can explain the Flight part. The Mobile airport is considered one of the highest in the entire southeast. There is zero competition there and the only thing keeping it afloat is business travellers. You are much better off getting a flight into Pensacola or Gulfport.

Also if you go to one club in South Beach you are going to pay 200-300 easy. You probably aren't getting in unless you are with some extremely hot girls or you pay cover out the arse on labor day.

Just book the off days.

About a month ago we booked three tickets from Knoxville to Billings, MT for $400 a piece. We are flying out on Thanksgiving and coming back the following Wednesday. When we looked from the weekend to weekend, being there all of Thanksgiving week, tickets were about $1200 a piece.

We booked Knoxville to Minneapolis a few months ago, and if I recall flights were $300 or so.

Currently sitting on an LGA - MSY flight and I can verify this statement is 110% FALSE.

I’ve flown to Denver 6 times since January. I booked another flight to Denver last Wednesday. The ticket cost prior to last weeks was 424-446 per round trip. This trip is costing 908. All through American. All the same route/connections and seating.

deleting most of this text since I mistakenly read labor day as the upcoming holiday. However, I will leave the last caveat:

Never fly holiday weekend Fridays or Sundays and you can get a much better fare and deal with much smaller crowds at airports.

Pretty sure private companies charging what they can get away with for profits is capitalism. Deregulation overall worked for the industry, but it also formed an oligopoly (especially with "open skies" alliances) that can keep any new start-up from causing much of stir up price wise. What I did not know until recently is that one reason all the airlines push the ancillary costs and make sure every passenger realizes they are in for a miserable experience unless they "upgrade" is those costs aren't taxed by federal government to help maintain FAA standards for airports and air traffic control.

If you are going to Miami for a bachelor party and only plan on spending 3-500 then you are out of your element

On my flight earlier, this black chick was getting frustrated because she couldn’t find a spot for her giant suitcase

She walked back to her seat and squeezed through the flight attendant saying “y’all best move, my big arse ain’t got time for dis”

They don’t have enough pilots. They encouraged as many as possible to take early retirement when Covid hit. Then they fired a bunch because of the vaccine bs. Result. About 5,000 fewer pilots than they need

Flew in and out of Midway last week. $700 ticket. They have two terminals. Always packed. 1/2 of terminal B was just empty. No upcoming flights scheduled. The bartenders confirmed that from 9-5 every days there are no flights scheduled in that area. About 13 total gates.

That’s how you get these ticket prices

It took me about two minutes to find DFW-MIA for $519 r/t…even less if you don’t mind an early-ish morning return flight.

Yeah they’re insane. Have a wedding in Los Angeles mid-July and flights out of Atlanta are nearly $800 when I looked last week. I paid around $250 for the UCLA game last year.
