We own an Amana microwave that’s 40+ years old. Works like a charm and heavy as a boat anchor. All manual dials and the ringer is an actual bell.
I have one of the Amana RadarRanges from the early 70s. Still works like it always did. Weighs a ton.

What about OPs post made you think, "Now HERE'S a guy who's SURE to want to use AI"...?
The guy who needs the basic microvave is already using this board, correct? Which one looks easier to you? Either way, you seriously are a slap fricking idiot.

I had one with a turn knob timer but the timer wouldn’t tick down
Passed out drunk with a pizza in there. Cooked for 3 hours. Kitchen was black lucky it didn’t burn house down

We bought a Toshiba microwave a couple of weeks ago for about $125 that is pretty basic. Hopefully, the little button you have to press to open the door doesn't confuse you too much.

Was recently shopping around for a refrigerator and saw a bunch of expensive models with Wifi capabilities.
I’m just not on a fan of the evolving technology. All the cool inventions of the last century are now being overcomplicated. I don’t want to pay an extra $100 to be able to turn my ice maker off from my couch.

I bought one last month at the Wallmarks. There was quite a selection. I’m happy with my basic purchase and price.

JD, is that you? I told you before to always talk to me before buying crap.

Walmart has them for less than $100. Had to buy one while we waited for our in wall microwave to be delivered.

Boacht 3000 dollar micro lasted 3 years. Magnetron part priced at 650 dollars. Replaced with a whole new micro for 129 dollars that works fine from Loews

I have a built in that needs replacing and I'm having a difficult time finding one I can insert into the old cover.
My parents ended up getting a smaller one then adding matching trim around it to close it in

Go to Stantons in Baton Rouge. they sell a no name basic stainless microwave that matches all name brand other appliances. Further more if you buy all your appliances from them like we did when we remodeled our kitchen they will replace the microwave free of charge if it craps out.

we haven’t had a microwave since 2005 but I completely agree with the OPs point. We just renovated the kitchen and I’m pleased we were able to find quality appliances without WiFi or touch screens or soft buttons or any of that shite
The range/oven has knobs and an igniter. The toaster oven has knobs and a bell. The blender has knobs and a hard switch. The fridge and freezer have switches and dials. Only the dishwasher has electronics and I haven’t even opened it up much less used it.
I don’t need or want all the bullshite and neither do you

Even some of the ones with handles now have some frickin safety trigger on it.
We recently got a new microwave and every time it finishes warming something up you have to hit a door unlock button to open the door. WTF? Is this the equivalent of the gas can caps that made it aggravating to pour gas?

Not exactly the same but I had the same problem when looking for a basic TV. Every GD TV is a smart TV and I just want a regular one. The reason is the software on the smart TV eventually gets too complex for the hardware. If you buy a smart TV today, the software updates of the apps will eventually reach a point where the apps will no longer work due to outdated hardware. I want a basic TV that I can plug a fire stick into so that I can just replace the fire stick every 5 or so years, not replace the whole damn TV.

Google Gemini is the best for anything like that. Tell Gemini what you're looking for, and then copy/paste the best answer into an Amazon search bar.
Or, I don't know, just type "basic microwave" into the Amazon search bar. There are plenty of results that fit what he needs I looked up, but congratulations on using "AI" today.

This is a sad post. I feel sorry for you, honestly. Not sure how you get by day by day.

I've seen toasters with blue tooth. When we bought a Speed Queen washer, I had to order the one with basic dials.
