And don't the dealerships where you bought the car do free oil changes while under warranty? Mine does.

While I appreciate your zeal in saving money, your calculations failed to include the personal time it took to purchase supplies and dispose of old product; as well as the time to vacuum, clean windshields, check tires and other fluid levels.
You also haven't shopped for a cheaper alternative location, or used a promo or coupon in order to lessen that $80 cost per.
So if you include the cost of purchasing a vacuum, glass cleaner, towels, and air pump, as well as the time to fill fluids, air tires, vacuum, clean glass, and dispose of product, then you would see that your margin on savings is negligible.
It then comes down to how much you value your personal time to be worth, in the areas of conducting business, bonding with family, rest, personal fitness, etc.

Yeah, my truck and my wife's (no pic) SUV take 8 quarts of oil. I will just pay the 5 minute oil change people and keep it moving.

I used to do my own oil changes and tire rotations when I was young and poor,now I would rather take them to the dealer.
I have two tractors and two mowers that I change the oil and filters myself.That gives me all the oil change time I care to spend.

Used to change my own when I worked for a transportation company and could pull into the a bay after hours. Didn't have to worry about disposing my own oil either which was nice. Now it's just not worth the hassle to do it in my driveway

Maybe it takes you a long time to figure such easily and quickly completed tasks, takes maybe a handful of minutes for the rest if us.

Knowing that I won't be stranded on the side of the road because I take a little time to actually know the condition of my vehicles probably means I value my personal time a lot more than you do. You really are just making lazy excuses and probably spend that time doing things that are far less important and productive than you imagine.

You wanna feel good and save money?
Change your own brake pads. It's literally 2 bolts after the wheel is off. Many new cars can have pads changed without moving the caliper.
Pads cost maybe $50. Takes about 5-10 per front wheel. Bring to a mechanic and you're charged hundreds

Mine takes 10 quarts and surprisingly the dealer doesn't charge extra for it being such a large amount. I haven't had to actually pay for an oil change yet, every one has been free, but their prices are not that far off from buying the oil and doing it myself.

Well since I hadn't changed the oil in that car before, yes. I wanted to see how easy it was to access before going out and buying the ramps to get underneath it. I wasn't going to buy ramps, get underneath the car, and then find out accessing it was just going to be a pain in the arse.
