I can't remember the last time that anyone I voted for won in Orleans parish. Been voting there for 25 years. Literally not one. So, there are plenty of people who didn't vote for this.

Plus New orleans votes like 84% democrat in the presidential elections. They dont follow the rest of the state.
In the mayor race the republican received 10k less than trump. Teedy got like over 100k less votes than biden.

This is correct. The best part is that they’re all “from” New Orleans. Meaning, not a damn one is. They’re all transplants from the east and west coast that are destroying it. This isn't the only case the Feds are helping/prosecuting. The DA, NOPD, and Feds have a joint task force to help in some cases.
Another such case is the guy who was caught with an illegal gun, then went on to kill someone in Treme about 6 months later. Think the federal indictment came just days before or after the Treme incident.

The feds probably want to use this murderer to close a drug dealer case then turn him back over to the DA in a few months. Which the feds probably give the murderer immunity for his testimony. He will then be gunned down on I10 in Nola east.

Only offenses that can be tied to interstate commerce. However, the state AG's office can take over in any case if the DA isn't doing his job.
