FedEx sucks and might be worse than the USPS.

I have a package that I’m waiting on that is being shipped via FedEx. It has been stuck in the Bessemer, AL distribution center for days. Yesterday, for some unknown reason, it was sent to Memphis for an overnight stay and then was sent back to Bessemer this morning. My situation seems to be fairly common, as my people in the area are reporting the same problem.

At least my package isn’t in a ravine (yet).

Most of my FedEx packages get transferred to USPS which just doubles the incompetence. Literally decades and billions of dollars and the postal service still has shitty tracking capabilities.

Last year USPS was absolutely horrible, but generally speaking, FedEx tends to be the worst for me. Most of my FedEx packages seem to get here after 8pm and sometimes I wake up the next morning with FedEx packages on my porch from the night before because I didn't think to check my porch for mail way after dark, or my wife will come to me scared saying she hears someone outside. They'll also put stuff by my garage where it's just as likely anyone else will see it from the street, but less likely I'll see it.

Had the same issue with UPS. Package was transferred to USPS in BTR where it stayed for almost a week before it moved on to its next destination. Whenever I see a package change custody from UPS to another, I can usually expect some kind of delay.

At least it hasn't ended up in a ditch like has happened to many packages lately, even in AL.

The USPS may be worse. My Mom had two bills she mailed two weeks ago that haven't cleared yet. She got a "disconnect pending" notice from the utilities company. She called them and was told to ignore the notice and fees, and give it a week to see if the check will clear. They told her that has been happening alot lately. Her cell phone bill which was sent with those bills is the same way. Two others cleared, though, so....she's batting .500 at least.

We've been swapping over most of the bills to auto pay, which she has been fundamentally opposed to to this point, now.

Similar things with many of my shipments this year. It will get to an area near Birmingham and then for some reason go to Montgomery and back to the exact same facility before being delivered. They had to drive within a mile of my house on the way to Montgomery. I know it was probably on a semi but it just makes no sense to add 200 miles round trip when it could just be on a delivery truck instead.

FedEx is the worst. My neighbor drives for them and he says don’t use them. They have a major shortage of employees.

FedEx and UPS hire a ton of temp workers this time of year from what I understand. They don’t give a shite because they know they’re getting paid and then fired no matter what their performance looks like.

I have several witnesses to this, but 11 of my last 12 packages from FedEx either were lost ( by them ), delayed by weeks, or arrived damaged/broken.

Even had some brewing equipment (glass carboys) delivered broken and the guys said, “Hey man, I think this shite broke. But you gotta get someone else to pick up, I just deliver.”

And scheduling a pickup for a package needing to be signed for? Yeah, was told, you can pick up here but it may be 3-5 days cause they gotta attempt 3 deliveries first.

Frick FedEx - they are the worst. No question.

I defended them here awhile back because they were still delivering in my neighborhood after 9:30 every night
As of right now I have 3 packages lost, 1 by FedEx & 2 by USPS

I have video from yesterday of a FedEx driver dropping my package of several hundred dollars of sensitive electronics that I've been waiting 6 months to get. He did walk all the way to the door and rang the doorbell, but the bastard just straight up dropped the package.

Next delivery was an Amazon driver and he neatly arranged the packages at the door. He even stacked the box dropped by the FedEx guy.

Some people just don't give a shite about others stuff. I work for UPS and always try to treat peoples packages like it was mine. I wouldn't want someone dropping/being rough with my packages. But I can't say that for everyone, unfortunately.

FedEx here is the worst.
Denham Springs USPS is good, but BR USPS Bennington and Perkins are bad.
