I’ve had 3 different shipments from FedEx just get dropped off at a random neighbor’s house. Apparently just getting the right street is enough for them to be happy.

We own a business in Bham that relies heavily on FedEx and UPS to bring us inventory. A lot of the goods we order to sell are custom made and require us to prepay or make a deposit. At one point this year, we were out over $10K in lost merchandise. We’ve recently managed to cut this down to about $1K now.
We are pressing charges against that clown that was dumping packages.

FedEx guy dumping packages
Some classic lines.
Obviously the USPS jumped on this guy when FedEx canned him.
Sounds like a good defense.

Shipping has increased manyfold since COVID but the shipping companies have been slow (relatively) to increase their workforce, partially because no one wants to start at $17-$18/hr and work their way up (full disclosure: they really need to revamp their raise system), get up at the arse-crack of dawn and/or piss clean.

They are horrible. I’ve ordered 6-7 packages in the last 90 days and it’s always a shite show

I am getting all my packages on time or ahead. Stop being a broke dick and pay for deliveries dipstick

For us, FedEx has absolutely been the worst.
We watched one guy literally push a large fragile box off the back of the truck and it slammed to the driveway. Another day we got notification computer monitor was going to be delivered. The truck arrived, driver got out and went to the back of the truck. Husband went out to get the package from driver and driver came out of the truck and said "it's not here." And left. I was afraid it got delivered to the wrong house or something but we did get it the next day.

I've got a pair of boots sitting at the facility here waiting to get in the delivery truck for three days

Agree, they seem to have a blackhole at their north shore location.

I buy and ship golf equipment, and I've gotten Baton Rouge to Cali in two days twice this week with USPS. Meanwhile, my FedEx package made it to Baton Rouge last Friday and it took them until Wednesday night to deliver it

FedEx is garbage. The worst I’ve ever dealt with, sadly, is LSO.
Lately I get doubles of everything that ships with them because it doesn’t show after 10+ days, I inquire and the company insists on sending a new one sent out, first one arrives, new one comes 2 weeks later.
If I wanted to be a dick, I could just start doing that on day 10 for every single package that’s ever shipped to me via them.

It’s not just usps, ups, or fedex. It’s everything. Customer service doesn’t exist anymore.
20 minutes to get to a person. In the Caribbean or Indonesia. You get in an infinite do loop.
I know more about companies operations than their management.
Terrible.

I feel like eventually Amazon will run 100% of its supply chain and FedEx, UPS, USPS will become obsolete

Fedex is awful right now. And yes, probably worse than USPS.
The big difference is that Fedex can, and probably will, be fixed. As a private sector business, it is likely. USPS has no such hope.
For the time being, go with UPS if given the option.

In the grand scheme Amazon is a drop in the bucket for all 3. Less than 1% of FedEx’s business was Amazon and pre covid FedEx told Amazon to pound sand and that they don’t want their business.
I do 6 figures worth of business with FeEx per year. Up until Covid they were great. Express network is still running fine. The problem is ground is having tons of issues due to covid and weather.

I can attest to this, fedex is the worst of all of them.
