EPA's mission was largely complete decades ago. Now it is just trying to invent new ways to survive and grow even if it does harm. It's like a cancer in that regard.

This! Government never shrinks or returns powers they assumed.

Wut?
Using a heat lamp for heating as opposed to a lamp designed for illumination that happens to make heat as a by product defies logic?
The very image of tyranny:

One benefit to spending my career dealing with environmental regulations, when I see these things coming, I stockpile all these much better than their replacement products. Freon? Check. Several worthy pesticides? Check. Big stock of 100W lightbulbs? Attic is full. Back to OP, the Federal District courts are the only thing keeping this EPA from succeeding in their full blown war on the US Oil and Gas industry. Been in the business for decades (since before DEQ was even a state agency) and this administration’s EPA is the most out of control group I’ve ever encountered. They have been caught repeatedly letting NGO’s write their new regulations and write lawsuits to file (using taxpayer dollars), and unrepentant when caught by the courts. It is proof positive why Federal judge appointments matter, otherwise, the other two branches of government would have already completed the ruination of our country (which we are on the cusp of as is).
My family did this when they banned mercury in the Merthiolate. My mom, aunts, grandmothers all bought cases of it bc that is what we use for strep and tonsillitis to “paint our throats”. I have 3 bottles left. We call it liquid gold.

Maybe you’ll get it on day all these frickers want to regulate everything for you and me. Are you so naive to believe that they play by the same rules as you and me, the quicker you realize they don’t give a shite about anybody but themselves

The only people that don't like the EPA are large corporations, like chemical companies. Somehow Joe citizen has been brainwashed by big corporations. They "lobby" congressman/senators, which we all know a senator can be bought for a few hundred thousand. After that senator gets his money from these corporations he will tell his voters anything the big corporations want them to say.
Joe public is left living in a polluted country while they sentators and corporations laugh all the way to the bank.
Somewhere you guys got brainwashed thinking nature is bad and big cooperation are good.
You got downvoted to hell, but you spoke the truth
It's laughable that people think corporations won't pollute your water table the second no one is watching and it saves them a few pennies
Also say goodbye your hunting seasons and bye fishing because sure as hell they'll move in and destroy that too
He's not suggesting everything needs to be regulated to hell, but it can't be a free for all

BS.....the EPA was not created to make up fantasy laws without Congressional over site. The only solution is for Congress to get off their butts and review every regulation these idiots dream up.
Took a bit to get to it, but here we are. This is the issue. Of course we need environmental protections. The EPA has gone beyond that. They are a group of unelected officials who essentially make law. That ain't how it works. Period.

Congress would have to actually work. We all know that aint gonna happen.

The annoying this is that this is all driven by trying to turn desert into farmland in southern California, as well as supporting a growing population. Water usage isn’t really a huge issue elsewhere.
Just like world hunger, how to solve the water issue.

There do need to be rules that prevent pollution. Currently the water being discharged from these industrial facilities has fewer solids, less P and N, and lower oxygen demand than naturally occurs in the MS River.
The EPA continues to overstep their authority though and needs to be reigned in. They have utterly failed to address fertilizer runoff (the primary source of nutrient pollution) and their low water use appliances are more expensive, less effective, and overall of poorer quality than what used to be made. This results in more flushes, cycles, and loads to achieve the same level of cleanliness, ultimately resulting in more water used.

WVU v EPA was a huge case with awesome implications that got overshadowed because of the overturning Roe v Wade w/ the Hobbes decision in the last 2 years.
People who have never been elected to dog catcher being able to tell you what you have to do and regulate a dishwasher or what car you can drive is insanity.

I'd argue in some scenarios that some agencies and laws had their purposes, but all should have a sunset clause.
It's an opinion that i'm sure would get me roasted in most circles, but i say let's remove the civil rights act. I'm fairly confident that nowhere in America would they start segregating buses and water fountains again.
i could be wrong. if i'm wrong, rewrite and see why passing it the first time didn't permanently solve racism.
Repeal the EPA. We all want clean water and while i'm sure some companies still want to cut costs and pollute, if it's egregious, redo the organization and figure out why people still feel the need to pollute.
abolish the FBI. they spent millions of dollars advertising and flying around the country to arrest people that walked into the capital and took pictures. (not saying to not go after the people that were violent) get a group that is solely working on trafficking, racketeering, etc. but don't put all federal policing under a group that's loyalties can flip every 4 years.

Got to be a troll. If not, can't you see that the issue is not cleaning up rivers, but the massive overreach that those agencies have undertaken.

You want corporation to pollute all our rivers, marshes , and bayous so we can’t harvest any seafood and we have to import all our seafood from China , don’t you? Admit it. Commie.
The EPA shouldn’t have the power to create a random law or regulation.
Same with the ATF, DOE, etc.
Make Congress do its job. Agencies then exist to enforce.

When the 3 letters are saying "we are doing this for you", they are really doing it TO you...
BOHICA
It's why i have to flush 2x, double rinse the wash machine, and dishwasher takes 3 hours...
... and re: incandescent bulbs, i like using my shop lights as "heat lamps" to keep some external pipes and pumps from freezing... No special "heat lamps", just some good dual purpose usage. Oh and LEDs in the garage door opener interfere with my garage door remotes
