Verdict Reached

Verdict reached in case. Dad guilty, sons gets off. Feel like we missed some facts here. I thought it could come out the other way around possibly

Guy is in his 70s. Seems crazy to live your whole life and catch a murder charge right at the frickin end so that’s all anyone will remember you by.

Maybe dont turn your street into the O.K. Corral over a dumpster, and your legacy will not be tarnished.

By bringing a gun to start a confrontation, you automatically become the intimidator.

To claim that the other guy was the aggressor when he picks up a weapon is ridiculous and those who defend or support this man and his son are being ridiculous.

The victim was the only one who could legally claim he was "standing his ground".

At least he'll be remembered. Most memories of dead 70 y/o's are gone like a fart in the wind.

If anybody was charged I’m surprised it wasn’t the son.

What was the dad charged with? I assume second degree murder?

To be the fair, the son who was toting the sawed off shotgun did walk. And although they were armed with a firearm, the deceased was also armed with a deadly weapon. I only know what I’ve read in the news and seen on the video, but I really thought both would walk.

Strange verdict. I would have thought they both would have walked, or both would have been found found guilty. Not a split.

Yeah I don’t understand this. Why was he not found guilty as a principle / accessory to the crime? Hell he fricking shot him too, doesn’t make sense

Sounds like a questionable strategy. Overconfidence?

Doesn't make very much sense to me either. The main difference that I see, is that the Dad said something along the lines of "hit me, see what happens". Hard to claim you were in fear of great bodily harm if you are encouraging escalation of the encounter.
