If Dad wasn't such a pussy and could tolerate pain and keep his composure for a few seconds his son would still be alive.

This CNN link has some more detailed information. I didn't expect the bullet to have hit the ceiling first.

I've had a hot casing fall inside of my collar. Dropped the rifle during live fire to dig it out.

That guy had nothing but instinct happening, you can't think. It's like being branded, but they don't take it off.

And no charges will be filed. But accdentally run a stop sign and kill someone you are prosecuted.

Well running a stop sign is illegal. Being a pussy and reaching for hot brass isn't last time I checked.

Stories like these are an even better case for gun control than the mass shootings.

After you stop all gun deaths, what are you going to do about automobile deaths?

I'm not saying confiscate all of the guns in America but at the very least make them illegal to buy. Enough is enough

So should cars be banned as well?

How about we ban guns after we ban cigarettes? 158,040 people died last year in this country due to lung cancer. What about fast food? We are a nation of fat fricks. On average, 610,000 people die of heart disease every year. Do you want to ban fast food because so many people abuse it and use it irresponsibly? This particular incident was obviously an accident. How do you feel about parents walking around with 3 little fat frick morbidly obese kids attached to them emptying a box of Mike and Ikes down their chubby little throats? That's child abuse in my opinion but Im sure you don't want to ban Mike and Ikes because adults don't know how to say no to their fat children now do you? Why is it just guns that get the criticism? Why are you such a hypocrite? What other freedoms to you want to strip from the American people?

So far in 2016, there have been 6,929 gun deaths in this country. 6,929 vs 158,040!!!!!Where is your faux outrage to ban cigarettes?!!! Youre all about saving lives right?

What do you think the percentage is of those deaths happening in cities that already have major gun restrictions? I'll give you a hint, it's extremely high. What do you think the percentage is of the guns used in those crimes being acquired legally through a licensed dealer? It's extremely low, as in less than 10%. Why are so many of you in this country so ignorant? Why do so many of you lack simple reasoning and common sense when it comes to gun ownership?

Just so we are on the same page here (assuming you even respond), you're saying we should take guns away from people and make them illegal to buy??? you do understand that criminals will still get the arsenal that they need to rob your house, right? I mean after all, they are criminals... How the frick do you expect people to defend themselves and their families if the deck is stacked against them....

Sorry, but you and the hundreds of thousands of other people in the country who think this is the answer is fricking retarded man

Shitty situation.

Yea man, bullet casings burn like a MFer

I was helping my fiancé shoot the AR the other day and one of the casings went down my shirt and burnt me in 3 different places... It happens so fast it's like you can't really have an 'exit strategy'

It's like someone said in the beginning of the thread, unless you drop your weapon (which is equally dangerous) there really is not plan of action, it's all 'I need to get this hot shite out of my shirt' instinct

No, but more people die in accidents in that list than die by gun accidents.

Crazy when you look at facts, huh?

People also feed their kids into cane cutters, crash them into guard rails with cars, let them fall out of boats and drown, lock them in cars and cook them to death, etc.

I bet accidental gunfire is pretty far down the list of ways parents accidentally kill their kids.
