All he had to do was fill out some papers for an LLC or just DBA and it would have been legal.

Obviously you haven't bothered to do so, because he was not indicted for lying to women to get sex.

The Feds aren't really in the business of losing or throwing out bullshite charges

You are entirely wrong on that point. The feds are actually pretty notorious for fling bullshite charges to scare people into pleading down to lesser charges, a tactic that works.

So women admit to prostitution and the guy goes to jail?

I'm not sure how this is any different than a guy lying to a girl about his job, wealth, etc.. to get her in bed. That happens at every bar every night and isn't illegal.

I get he could be, and probably is, guilty of some fraud but there should be no issue with the sex other than maybe solicitation?

Did I say that is why he was indicted? Try reading. I commented on the assertion that there was "nothing illegal" here. That's absurd.

What are you not sure about?

I'm not sure whether he did or did not commit rape/sodomy but I don't know that the article mentioned anything about him raping anyone, did it?

I mean rape is forcible sex, they were surely duped adn he probably did lots of illegal shite, but did he force anyone to have sex with him? Again maybe he did, but nothing in that article says he forced anyone to have sex with him.

and on the other hand I think what he did was potentially rape.

Consenting adults made a decision to engage in sex with him. That's not rape.

The issue is their decision was made under false pretense. Not sure how I feel about that because people at bars and shite lie all the time to get laid.

It definitely tough to lean either way on this issue IMO

I read on and see he was only charged for fraud. Good to see some common sense used since he didn't rape anyone.
