It was going to happen as soon as the LSU board publicly disparaged him and drive the nails into his career’s coffin.

Yeah, no. This goes back to the victim mentality. No you got a shitty grade because you never went to class, not because you are black. You werent sure what path to take because you never actually tried to get advise, not because you are black.

LSU’s black student percentage is higher than the US black population percentage so not sure what he’s talking about. People seem to think black people are 51% of the US population.

But more importantly, I feel like I've been transported in a fricking time machine back to the 1950's reading horse shite like this. As a guy born in 1970, this new love of finding horrific racism everywhere, after decade upon decade of nothing but better and better race relations is infuriating.
There is no place MORE interested in bending over backwards to show they are the very opposite of racist than an American university at this point. And that was true when I entered college in 1988, and I'd bet it was true a decade before that.
The problems with claims like these...some of us actually experienced the changes. We're not interested in pretending nothing has been gained since MLK and refuse to be dragged back into that by ideologues using this for nothing but personal power.

This is absolutely nauseating. I used to have reason deal with him and actually supported the holistic admissions standards, but what absolute garbage for him to paint as backward racists those who opposed him and the holistic admissions approach. There were people who opposed the change in admissions approach--which did, to some degree and in some instances, lower standard--but they were no more racist that the prior administration was when they raised standards. I feel terrible for ever sticking up for this fraud.
