When are all these science experts ever right about something the first time? Yet we are supposed to act like they are absolute truth

The word “expert” has lost just about as much bite as the word “racist”. Almost, not quite

You know you're full of shite right? And that COVID-19 is a strain of SARS?

2003 SARS killed like 15% infected. 2019 SARS has killed around 3%

Expert predicting

Since all experts have been so fricking wrong so far, are we to assume this guy is correct, or just another in a long line of bloviating douchebags?

The experts WANT it to last that long. Then they’ll get free money from Pelosi and Schumer, along with more free money to refine their “accurate” forecasting means. frick the experts.

We could've enacted a strict International Travel Ban back in January...and we wouldn't be in this shite show right now. Banning travel with one fricking country.... China....was just fricking dumb. You don't stop a pandemic by banning travel to one damn country.

Umm we banned travel to everywhere but a few countries like the UK at first. You don't remember the Europeans and the left screaming Trump didn't consult with them first?

It was all orange man racist.

And heres the thing. We know it was at least going around in October in China. So you would have had to shut the country down way before when we had zero confirmed cases. And even that would be a longshot because of asymptomatic carriers.

That was never happening regardless of who was president.

Yeah, no shite. Then why the frick are we all cowering in our homes and prolonging what is ultimately inevitable?

I'm glad I live in Georgia.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure viruses have been around a lot longer than humans have. We don't have to act like a bunch of pussies forever, though; that's a somewhat new phenomenon.

I'm aware that this is SARS 2.0.

And I'm aware that SARS 1.0 killed people at a higher rate, which is why my statement was:

quote:

Different virus.

Far more deadly, and far less contagious (thankfully).

That’s easier to stop

Whereas, this virus is less deadly and far more contagious.

It's not my fault you folks lack skills in reading comprehension. I'll be sure to include a doodle for you next time. Perhaps you'll understand pictures.

Edit to add:
And it's not exactly right that this is a new strain of the first SARS-CoV. This is the second coronavirus identified to cause SARS. So, it's more of a new species rather than a strain of the original, which is why it's SARS-Cov-2.
