Now for fat out of shape people like yourself, that probably never made any team of any kind, I understand that it excites you to vicariously live through your kids. The reality is when your crappy genetics hit your kid around puberty, they're toast. Enjoy your championship t-ball until then.

Im out there for 12 hours a day on weekends. Between games, we just sit in a lawn chair and stare at each other. For hours.

I felt this.

The funniest thing was the dads decked out in under armour and Oakley and taking it WAY too seriously.

The dads are ridiculous.

Call me crazy, but those folks out there living actively seem to have a better grasp of life, than the ones laughing on the interwebz message board. Just my 2 cents.

So you’re at a travel ball tournament right now “living actively”. How did Braeden’s team do in pool play yesterday? Was dinner at Applebee’s good last night, or were y’all at the sports complex too late to do that?

Hauling all the stuff they have to have at the ballpark. Usually things like chairs, maybe a blanket or two, snacks, drinks, umbrella(s), toys to keep Jaksyn’s little sister Kaieleigh amused, plus coaching and player gear.

Been at parks all weekend 300 something miles away from home. Ate some shitty sushi and we’re in a pho place now. Finals at 2:40...gonna be a long ride home.

You talking about baseball or soccer?

2:40 is too early to have a final game for baseball. You’ve gotta be talking about soccer.

Oh yea, soccer.

My son’ll likely try his arm at pitching at some point...but no baseball for him yet.

That’s what I figured.

I’ve been at the ballpark till almost 10-11 on Sundays one too many times. Some championship games wouldn’t start till like 7 or 8, sometimes later.

Those Monday’s were brutal

Coaches don’t have to pay to get in.
So there’s that.

People still buy into that whole thing about having to play travel ball to get noticed thing? How many coaches and scouts have any of you ever seen at a travel ball tournament

Most travel to find competition. Once you beat everyone close you have to travel to find someone better.
