I get it now. Place was packed. Y’all weren’t kidding about the wagons. There were so many I just had to laugh.

I really thought y’all were kidding or being dramatic. 95% of the people there met every single stereotype I see on here.

Stereotypes exist for a reason.

All ball is travel ball unless you live on the actual field.

My little Jaxyn is playing shortstop today!

No he’s not! My Kayden is playing shortstop!

frick you Karen, everyone knows Kayden is terrible. The only reason he’s even on this team is because he’s best friends with Brayden and he wouldn’t play without him!!!

Too many to count. The funniest thing was the dads decked out in under armour and Oakley and taking it WAY too seriously.

Stereotypes exist for a reason and travel ball is a perfect example.

It is really funny to watch.

My kids love it.

I freaking hate it.

Im out there for 12 hours a day on weekends. Between games, we just sit in a lawn chair and stare at each other. For hours.

I'll probably pretend to be sick next weekend.

Next up for you is the 10 million World Series vacation/tournaments in Destin where you're out about $1500 but it was worth it because little Kylen had fun.

Plus it gets him on his way to making an SEC baseball roster.

You gotta put in the work, dad. Those little tourney rings don't just win themselves.

I don’t get these travel ball threads. Parents also took it way too seriously back in the day. I remember Squires league and American legion having parents that took it way too seriously in the early to mid 90’s. But message boards and internet weren’t around back then so maybe you didn’t hear about it like you do today

Went to visit my uncle and cousins in the woodlands this past werk, found out my uncle basically redshirted my cousins in 1st or 2nd grade. Used the excuse they were behind after living abroad so now theyre ahead of the rest of their classmates in school and sports. Kids play baseball, laceosse, basketball, football, the whole shabang. All i could do is after seeing the travel ball threads on here

Lesson learned with my ex and her daughter playing in softball tournaments:

Always use stomach pain/gas/diarrhea as your excuse. Works every time.

If you're worried about believability, maybe work in some PF Changs or Chipotle for dinner the night before or lie and say you had it for lunch at work the previous day.

WORKS. EVERY. TIME.

We spend around 10k a year on sports and activities for my son.

Worth it.

He is only a kid once in his life and we enjoy letting him have fun.

Wouldn't trade those memories for anything.

I played at Perkins Road park for little league.

My dad would drink beer in the stands when he "had" to go.
