Warrick Dunn's mother's killer is still on death row. That happened in like 1993. It will never be an efficient process in modern times in the US. Almost all of them will die in prison.

He actually asked to die by firing squad or drinking some kind of cocktail. So he’s not trying to get out of it, just would prefer another method. I say give him whatever death he wants.

Oh yeah. I’m sure he’s totally not trying to get out of it. And he’s definitely not trying to drag things out by creating a bureaucratic clusterfrick, knowing that neither of his proposed methods are actually allowed under Louisiana law.

My comment about Allah was meant to be about all murders in claiming stuff about religion in general not this particular prisoner. You know since Muslims love to say Allah told them to kill the infidel for their virgins. Most other religions are against murder so your religion could not have been that important in the first place so stop wasting our time.

I am quite sure Buddha’s fat arse had trouble breathing his last several years before death. Just shoot the SOB if he’s that worried about it.

Buddha was thin; Budai, who westerners commonly mistake for Buddha, was fat.

What options would you consider the "most humane"? Not a Dr. so no idea personally but here's a few suggestions:

-Simultaneous bullets to the head & heart
-Guillotine + bullets to the heart
-Anesthesia before being dropped out of a plane

Or maybe trying to scream.

I seem to remember reading Lavosier running an experiment at his beheading. Asked someone to count his blinks and he blinked 17 times.

Rape kidnapping and murder already destroyed his Bardo far worse than breathing exercises in a nitrogen chamber

Did he allow the person he murdered to practice their breathing exercises?

the Buddhist inmate needed time to press his claim

Hoffman was scheduled to die Tuesday night for the 1996 killing of Mary "Molly" Elliot.

How much fricking time does he need? He's only been on DR for fricking 29 years.
quote:

"Mr. Hoffman sincerely believes that he must practice his Buddhist breathing exercises at the critical transition between life and death, called the Bardo," the lawyers wrote. "He believes that if he has traumatic final moments, they can negatively impact the Bardo, which can lead to a negative rebirth."

Oh, frick right off with that shite.

I wonder if Mary Elliot got to choose how she died to make sure her afterlife was all set to go...
quote:

Hoffman was scheduled to die Tuesday night for the 1996 killing of Mary "Molly" Elliot. She was abducted in New Orleans and taken to St. Tammany Parish, where she was raped and then shot execution-style and left in wetlands along the Pearl River.

Oh, no. That's right, she didn't. Because she was kidnapped and brutally raped and executed by this piece of shite.

shite like this pisses me off so fricking much. The absolute legal insanity and loopholes that we allow prisoners on DR to toy with are beyond ridiculous. They should set the death date and allow him to choose from a laundry list of options, as long as he is dead by the end of the day. I don't care if he wants to be smothered to death by a thousand puppies...that's fine. Just make sure he's dead by midnight.

I remember the crime.

Her car was run into the Middle Pearl River off Hwy 90 after the crime.

Hard to believe that’s been almost 30 years.

POS perp should have long since been executed.

Those idiots fighting for this lying a-hole's life should be forced to look at crime scene photos of his work and be made to grasp what he did to that poor women.

He is NOT a worthy cause.

Cry harder. This jerk should have thought about the consequences prior to his actions. The most sufferable death for him, is the most appropritate. I cannot imagine what was going through this young woman's head while she was being tortured and diven all the way to St. Tammany for him to finish executing her. This bastard needs to suffer, and so should the attorney defending him.
